Yes there was, he was probably the best actor in that movie. Movies shouldn't have to adhere to every single detail of the source material. The race of an actor shouldn't matter that much, not unless we're talking about a remake of Roots or something. Daredevil sucked, but can you tell me that casting a black actor as the Kingpin was even part of why?
