  1. (Psst. It's a quote from an episode of the West Wing, in which Lisa Edelstein was a regular...and a very high-priced call girl.)
  2. Same scene, original version. I think their dialogue is hilarious. So clinical and yet so very dirty. And the ending is great.

    Twitter

Twitter's not for everyone but it's certainly not deserving of some of the negativity it's gotten. Then again, I'm on the other side of the fence. I for one can not STAND Facebook. I had it for a while, then got rid of it because it did absolutely nothing for me. I'm even considering killing my Myspace. Again, does nothing for me except fill up my inbox with the very same 'buddy updates' that I could get on Twitter, without the browser-killing videos animated gifs, and bullshit 'games'. I like my social networking to be short, sweet, to the point, without a lot of time-consuming rubbish, so Twitter works just fine for me. -nods-

    Twitter

I've been using mine off and on for a year. I like the concept of trying to update what you're up to in only 140 characters. I can write a long blog about every boring detail of my day to day routine, but the way I usually write, it's usually met with 'TL&DR'. With Twitter I feel like I can keep those who are interested up on what I'm up to... keep up communication with people who are usually VERy long winded (more so than myself) without getting overwhelmed, and keep up with some of my favorite celebs and news (@GregGrunberg, @theBandfromTV, @CFNews13 to name a few). I like it. @Jesi Feel free to follow me if you like. IDEA: A whole page of the hondonian twitter badges. that would be full of win.
  5. Okay, I haven't seen him posted - then again I haven't looked very hard. So here we go. I've blazed through four and a half seasons of [H]ouse on DVD and iTunes, in six weeks. I've read half of his first novel, "The Gun Seller". I've purchased and repeatedly watched/listened to Band from TV's "Hoggin All the Covers" CD / DVD because he plays the piano and sings for the band. I think it's safe to say I've become just a little... itty bitty bit fond of Hugh Laurie. It's ironic, really. For the LONGEST time, I SWORE I wasn't going to get into House. But damn if I didn't get stuck watching it on a marathon on USA while at my mom's house, and that was all it took. I found the character of House so entertaining and intriguing and ... well, sexy in his incorrigible abrasiveness and unapologetic intellect... that I couldn't ... stop ... watching. Then I started learning a bit about the man behind Gregory House. This guy is so goddamn multitalented and yet so humble it's enough to drive one crazy. Guitar, piano, acting, songwriting, bookwriting, drama, comedy, and then some. There isn't a thing I dont like about Hugh, but among my favorite features are the eyes, the accent, the subtle (and not so subtle) facial expressions, and the quirky, wildly funny sense of humor. In my opinion, he is proof positive that some men just get better and better with age. So with out further ado, I give you... [H]ugh [L]aurie A video from Inside the Actors Studio ... Hugh performs his song, "Mystery", a sweet and sentimental and yet uproariously funny song about a long lost love. It's lengthy, but very very funny... a fan-made video, 25 Facts about Being Hugh Laurie Maybe I'm the only girl on the boards who has a thing for him, but I wouldn't be a true fan if I didn't show some love.
  6. Still listening to it, but moved the bulk of this post to its own thread.
  7. Hondos has a guild established. It's on... Duskwood, I believe. Not sure if its alliance or horde. I've tried other servers but I'm too tied to my beloved Earthen Ring to dedicate myself to them.
  8. DJ got to make a FigurePrint of his night elf druid earlier this year, but was also kind enough to re-register so that I would have a chance to get one, too. And lo, his efforts finally paid off. I'll be ordering my print in the next few days, and in a few months' time, I'll have my very own FigurePrint of my beloved Night Elf Warrior. Mine is not to display the fruits of hundreds of hours of raiding or loot-collecting, mostly because I'm not into that style of gameplay. My night elf, who I've played for going on three years, is not even near top-level, and thusly has no top-tier equipment to brag about. However, she will proudly be displayed in armor and gear that I feel suits her personality and history as I've built her in an RP environment. While it'll take several months to actually get the statue, I made up an animation of how she'll look once she's in my hands. Lots of love to DJ for giving me this opportunity.
  9. Holy shit!! Happy sixth Hondosversary, m'lady!

  10. I must admit, your last few posts are amazingly full of win.

  11. whats up dear? having mucho fun on the apple?

  12. Here's another brilliant yet little-known musical comedian named Rob Paravonian, doing a rant about how he -hates- Pachelbel's Canon in D. ...I swear to God, I can't listen to -any- of those songs anymore. Watch the vid and you'll know what I mean.
  13. I play, but I'm mostly quite useless as a WoW-player. I hate PVP, can't really stand the repetitive questing, have zero interest in going in and raiding the same dungeon over and over again. I'm there for the social aspect, almost exclusively RP. So if anyone's interested in that... come knock on my door (Mykaela @ Earthen Ring US, Alliance). As far as changing servers... I'd be willing to create a toon wherever, but I'm likely to just park 'em somewhere and chitchat with you while you all do your thing. -shrug-
  14. You're only able to voicechat with 5 people at a time at present, so setting up a 40-man raid and expecting to talk to everyone is kinda out of the question unless you use an outside service like TeamSpeak or Ventrilo.
