trippy, disturbingly sweet and sad.
also, i apologize for my mix-up that shamalamana didn't write or direct the devil. however, if the uber-catholic guy was in the story he wrote as well and served as a similar plot device, then i withdraw my apology.
i care, obviously. it was lazy storytelling. shamylamy's treating his audience like they are functionally retarded and need to be spoon-fed the information, which makes for a very boring movie. i would have understood the movie without that dude because it wasn't that complex of a concept. the title of the movie is really all you need to get it.
i give a resounding "meh" to the devil. shamalalaymaylan's storytelling abilities are lazy as fuck. how convenient to have a super-catholic hispanic security guard explain EVERYTHING that's going on. how convenient. it wasn't as bad as the (nothing's) happening but that's not really saying much, is it?
anyway, the last movie i saw was trick r treat, which is actually based off an animated short i watched 10 or so years ago called season's greetings. the movie was actually pretty entertaining.
no pancho, i will never trust your judgment of movies again! ever! this has ruined things always and forever! all because you didn't like piranha! look at what you've done! look at what you've done!
the fighter. cliche but entertaining and great performances all around, especially from bale. i think he'll get his first oscar nomination and win for this performance (finally!).
surprisingly political because of the censorship there. i don't remember it being pro-communism but i could be wrong because i wasn't as into the movie as eli.
eli is very excited about juan of the dead.
oh my god, eli made me watch that with him! he has all these nostalgic feelings about it because it was one of his favorite movies as a kid. it's surprisingly political. it's on netflix.
lol, my friend said women should not see that movie and i tend to agree. it really fucked me up for a good while. i really hope she didn't watch that with you.
they ordered 13 eps for next season, i believe. i'm sure it was a cost thing...they didn't know how well the show would do so they only ordered 6 the first season, just in case it bombed. they're probably kicking themselves now for not doing a full season.
i can't help sneaking into your netflix queue. it's a favorite pastime of mine.

i'm really impressed with adam elliot's storytelling ability. that he can draw you in so quickly and make you feel so emotionally attached to pieces of clay is quite a gift.
yeah, it's actually better watching without knowing too much and also because the doc is about many things so it's a little hard to describe. it's utterly maddening, heartbreaking, and inspiring at the same time.
