  1. I'm always of the mind to give something a chance before you root it a new asshole. Like if someone says they don't like sushi, but have never tried it. "Ewwww, raw fish in seaweed?" "Noooo, you can't cook a burger in the microwave!" "Mehhhh, Gunfights are dangerous!" How do you know if you never try!!!!?
  2. He's eating pizza or he's got pizza around in the intro to DMC 1 and 3
  3. uhm, yeah, I kinda have to chime in here. Preface: my alias Dante came before the DMC series, as I was reading Inferno That said, Devil May Cry is one of my favorite series. I actually just popped in DMC4 on my PS3 two nights ago and have been playing that for a while. I've played and beaten all of them. I've stuck with the series through thick and thin, bad storylines, cheesy ass sayings (I still roll my eyes, heh), and insanely difficult bosses. But that's what I like about the series. Dante with the black hair and the boy band attitude. Ok, maybe this is his origin. This is how we see this brit-punk emo boy turn into a cheesy one-line, trench coat wearing badass. or maybe we just see a glimpse of that and he really does sparkle in the sunlight throughout the whole game. I believe we've already seen a younger version of Dante in DMC3 but that's neither here nor there. I guess they decided that it wasn't far enough into his past to really get him. Now, maybe we'll get a really good story out of this. I mean, it may not be King, Grisham, Koontz, Chaucer, Milton, Hemmingway, Adams pick your poison, but maybe it'll be more than, "hey, I got a case for you, go solve it and discover more obscure things about your family." What I do want to see is an end to the mission thing. Although I do see it's appeal: you can section off the game and come back to parts where you think you could have done better, it doesn't make for a storylined game. The bosses all come back, but you're stronger, have more health, weapons, and abilities you didn't have the last go around? Of course you're gonna do better. All that aside, it's a wait and see for me. Honestly, I'm not gonna play something that doesn't interest me. But I guess I'm flexible. I know I'm gonna buy it, add it to my collection. The important thing is, will I play it and not want to kill myself. (if the post sounds disjointed I'm at work and going back and forth between this and work stuff)
  4. This page alone should be nominated for an award. ...oh, do I have to post a pic...ok then, uhm...
  5. Say, uh...Nick...didn't I give you my Dreamcast?
  6. I love how I'm excluded from err'body else. Makes a fellow feel special...or ostracized.
  7. Doesn't ring a bell with me but maybe this will help. http://www.80scartoons.net/ You said pizza and I think of TMNT and Samurai Pizza Cats.
  8. With all the law suits floating around between Interplay and Bethesda, this one looks doomed as well. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/projectv13/index.html
  9. I coulda swore I saw a copy of this float around near me when I was working in Babbage's all those years ago. But it may have just been a demo we got or some video trailer they gave us.
  10. For my online gaming needs I prefer PC. If you can spend the money, no console will compare. The only argument can come in the form of a PC crashes etc etc, but consoles have a similar term called "bricking" and that usually leads to shipping costs, letters to corporations, ordering parts, voiding warranties, etc, as opposed to opening up the PC and replacing the part(s) it needs to work properly. If I want to play a fighter like Street Fighter IV or party game, like Rock Band it's usually more fun to play with someone right next to you. The first-person shooters are more viable over internet since you don't have to worry about split-screening. And MMOs? There's no way I'm playing one of those with a joypad. Heh. Side Note: If you have a PS3, danteas1 is my handle. I think I've got the NZA and JZA on my list, but I think that's all from Hondo's.
  11. I think the last server I was on was Nordrassil. I've always done Alliance toons myself. Wanna try a Worgen...that is...if I ever do play again...
  12. I hear ya. I was actually on a West Coast server (bad idea). The raids were usually from 9 - 1 am my time, so I had to leave early most raids. A lot of things got rolled on, however, most of the high ticket items would be given to the person who met certain criteria. Sometimes I would luck out and they all already had good items, but sometimes it would be like, "well, so and so already has three pieces of tier gear, so this would be more suitable for him". There were too many "boys clubs". Gah, talking about WoW again gets me itchy. Damn you. If I do get back into it I'll probably be very casual and start a new character. Cause there's no point in continuing with my 80 and not raid... damn you. heh
  13. I killed that monster a while ago and I'm mostly glad I did. It was fun to play but it became too immature for my tastes. Too many instances came up where I would find myself saying, "hey, it's just a game." Stuff like, my guild wouldn't consider me (or any other member) unless we had our Hodir rep up. I was doing like 20 rep quests a day just cause I wanted to stay in a guild with my real life friends. I wasn't considered for gear because I didn't have any enchantments on my gear, or I wasn't applying the proper poisons (yes, I was a rogue). Heh, I got yelled at for dying in a void zone in Sarth during my first run of it and for not standing in the correct place when we fought, oh what's his name...last guy in Naxx...anyways. True I would "tch" a warrior who couldn't hold aggro or a healer who forgot to stay under threat, but those are basics and in the 70s and 80s you would think a class knows their role. But for positioning and tactics? Anyway, I think I strayed from the topic. WoW was fun when it was fun, but the group dynamic can get bitchy and it's hard to find a mature level of player on there. I still have my 80 rogue with no tier gear, but a canceled account. I doubt I will get back into it with all the ridiculous drama that goes on (check out the photos a few pages back of the Lobo pet thing, I was reading the chat and it looked like usual guild drama). If I ever do get into it when cataclysm comes out, you can be sure that I'm going to be a free agent.

I'm getting it for sure. I've been waiting for a game that is non-linear AND has a good story AND has good re-playability. Hopefully, this will satisfy that...but I'm a little skeptical.

I thought the game itself was coming out next week. Isn't it scheduled for the 26th?
  16. heh nice. I had put the game down for close to a year. Then I picked it up when WotLK came out. I jumped servers and am now on Nordrassil as an 80 Human Rogue. It's a Normal server, and it's West Coast. I haven't played for a couple of weeks, though. May have lost interest, or I might just switch to casual. But really, after 80, you have nothing to do but rep and raids. And I'm finished with Rep...eh.
  17. A friend sent these "motivational" posters to me. I like the orangutan one the best. ome more...
  18. Damn guys...props for the photoshopping work.
  19. I'm gonna name some of the lesser known ones first: - Wish is one of my new favorites. It's a bit old NIN but still good. - Dead Souls from The Crow soundtrack - The Perfect Drug The Downward Spiral: - March of the Pigs - Ruiner - Eraser - Reptile The Fragile: - The Wretched - The Fragile - The Great Below - Starfuckers - Where is Everybody With Teeth: - The Hand that Feeds - Only - Right Where it Belongs Year Zero: - Survivalism - The Beginning of the End - The Great Destroyer heh, I think that's good for now. I'm sure I missed some good ones but you can get a good sampling from this.
  20. Well, I didn't know about Ghosts when it first came out. My friend, who's also a big fan of NIN told me about the websales. So as far as promotion, not very good. I think I saw a bulletin on myspace, but when you've got 124129092751 friends, your bulletins tend to span many pages. It can get lost in the flood. Honestly, it's not something I would listen to all the time. I would listen to it if I'm just chilling or going to sleep and want some background noise. I think the best use I will have of it is when I finally sit down and start drawing. It has a lot of ghostly noises in it, I guess hence the name of the albums. But it does have some off-sounding things to it. Nothing straying from NINs usual music. How often do you get something completely instrumental? I can see where "i think its nothing more than dull background with flashes of potential that never really goes anywhere" comes from, but honestly, if these were songs with lyrics you have definite sections broken by choruses and it leads you through the song, almost brainless. Since it's all instrumental, you're supposed to have the music take you somewhere. All in all, a very good compilation of music. All clearly distinctive from each other and employing differing moods and imagery. The only qualm I have is that some of these tracks, if not the majority, are like 2 minutes long. They might be good to use in the background of a website (as long as the theme fits).
  21. I'mma thinkin I should make some new holiday logos for Hondos...I remember that old St. Patty's Day one, and I remember doin' it about 2 years ago...maybe three...
