  1. I'm started watching Chernobyl last night at about 9.30pm my time with the intention of being in bed and asleep by 11pm.

At 12:30am, I was still awake watching the credits of the third (and most recent) episode of Chernobyl.

    I cannot recommend it enough.

In terms of other stuff I'm actively watching:

    Easy S3

RuPaul's Drag Race S11 (and by association, Untucked S11)

Have 1 episode left of Barry S2 to watch

Am at a bit of a loose end as Bobs Burgers and B99 wrapped for the season and Broad City wrapped for good.

  2. I'm loving this, Bill Hader is fucking excellent in this as is the guy who plays Noho Hank.

I've last weeks episode to watch (as I've been consumed with GoT and GoT related excitement) this week and its shaping up to be another excellent season.

  3. Spoiler

Also, one thing that's annoying the all living fuck out of me are all the characters saying "The crypts are the safest place in Winterfell". Well, maybe. Apart from the fact they're surrounded by generations of dead starks and are about to fight someone who can raise the dead.

That'll go well for the women and children.

  4. Spoiler

I mostly agree with the above, however I think, sadly, Davos is gonzo. He's admitted time and time again he's not a fighter and he's such a beloved character at this stage, it would be an emotional gut-punch.

I think Bran survives but Theon gets a redemption-hero death.

Other than that, I think Varys and Gilly/Little Sam may go also as they're fairly periphery at this stage and are things for the viewer to gasp at.

My current hot take/future freezing cold take:

I've a feeling Jorah is about to absolutely fuck the white walkers shit up in this episode. Like, bending them over a bath asking them if they've ever had their shit pushed in style of fucking shit up.

  5. Spoiler

While I agree to a point on the above, Theon did help her escape Winterfell when she was being used as Ramsay's pin cushion.

I think he's being set up for a redemption death.

Also, what's the betting that Podrick goes full on Neville Longbottom in the next episode? Its totally foreshadowing that he's either going to do something full on heroic, or something full on stupid.

  6. I made the awful mistake while being in the states recently of picking up a bag of what I thought were going to be chilli heatwave Doritos (red bag in Ireland) and not thinking too much of it and nearly being violently sick everywhere when it turned out to be Nacho Cheese Doritos as I find they taste of how feet smell.

That would put them firmly at the bottom of any list of this kind for me.

  7. Its the Great British Bake Off.... 😶

For real though, I fucking love Bake Off/Show. As you said, I've learned stuff from that from baking techniques to flavour combinations (some what and what don't work).

I love anything that Gordon Ramsay does as while he comes across like an angry cunt, its out of passion of wanting places to not sell absolute swill to people. His work on Junior Masterchef is adorable and something I can no longer watch with my Fiancee as it harms her ovaries with cuteness.

  8. I really liked the ambition of this and how it could potentially influence how other films try to be inventive.

I particularly loved the soundtrack to it all

    Spoiler

Especially in the ending where he goes back and dies in the crash, but also dies in the therapists office. Mindfucky as fuck is what that was.

I feel bad that Will Poulter's appearance was targeted and quit social media because of it. People are just the worst.

  9. I really liked Apostle. Again, not as scary as the trailer makes out, but I got a really nice vibe of The Wickerman from it. There was a good deal of actual suspense from it and it wasn't predictable or prone to tropes as some horror films tend to be nowadays.

I also watched Calibre recently on Netflix. Not a bad film at all, more a thriller than a horror if I'm to split hairs, but suspenseful all the same. And deliciously awkward in parts.
