  1. Those aren't grills. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. You don't fight the batman and keep your own teeth.
  2. Yeesh, I hate to see actors catch shit for poor writing, directing or casting decisions... Hell, I've seen Christiensen in other films, he's a decent actor and is very good at emoting without speaking, but then I read about how Lucas was always directing him to be as stiff as possible, to always act whiney and conflicted, and then there was Lucas' dialogue... ugh... I don't care how good an actor you are, you put a relative unknown at the mercy of a famous director you're getting exactly what the director wants, it's not the actor's fault.
  3. Well... he didn't seem bad in the role, just poorly used. ::shrug::
  4. John Astin is still alive at 88 and still working, please tell me he'll have a voice cameo
  5. Yeah, they were pretty dated. I'd also like to say that the character designs of the 2011 series were a massive improvement... 80s Cheetara always looked like she was about to star in an aerobics video.
  6. The whitehouse has been claiming a 'double standard' over how the liberals have treated Roseanne and president shithole and have now fixated on a piece by Samantha Bee the other day as their primary example. Sarah Huckabee Sanders Slams Samantha Bee For Her Ivanka Trump Comments I would point out that Roseanne's tweet was a selfish act; making a comment that can only be interpreted as coming from someone who is a racist bigot and who repeatedly parrots disproven conspiracy theories conjured up by white supremacists to personally attack a former minor public official based on her ethnicity and those racist lies. Meanwhile Samantha Bee was using bad language to try and shame the daughter of the current president of the united states, someone who is publicly employed as a senior whitehouse advisor to said president, to get off her ass and talk to her father about his administration's official policy of casual cruelty, it's contemptuous attitude to the lives of innocent human fucking beings, and the deliberate infliction of permanent mental and emotional harm upon little children. The outrage should be that ICE is deliberately scarring innocent kids for life, (if not outright losing them) and where inhuman cruelty to babies is used as a deterrent policy for illegal immigration AND LEGAL asylum seeking. But Bee called Ivanka a Cunt so shame on her. Should it matter that Ivanka had just made the equivalent to a 'Let Them Eat Cake' tweet? Of course the tone-deafness on behalf of Ivanka wasn't concerning the starving masses calling out for bread and her asking why they wouldn't call out for cake instead since it tastes better; but instead is about babies being ripped from the arms of their mothers by her father's government jackbooted goons while she poses for a touching portrait of her own little boy. Fuck them, fuck her, fuck everybody associated with this abortion of an administration. Great, now I'm worked up.
  7. I'm getting mixed signals from people around here. Do people love it or hate it? I thought I was going to hate this show but I'm actually quite pleased with the few episodes and clips I've seen. I've let my little one watch and even let him stay up later than he's suppose to be whenever we would happen catch it when it was on at 8:00pm, they keep moving their damn timeslot so it's almost chance we find it. Like I said, it's a lot better than I expected and I'm enjoying watching it with the little guy, if only he could hold still longer.
  8. 'You can't win this one': What President Trump told Jerry Jones in private about player protests After essentially being blacklisted, Kaepernick is ripping the NFL a new one with the evidentiary discovery phase of his lawsuit claiming illegal collusion (i.e. blacklisting) against him. Now we get to see another example that President Shithole is actively pressuring private employers into suppressing political rivals in all walks of life, certainly including sports... dictatorial tendencies indeed... can you imagine the shit-storm raised on the right-wing media if a Democrat ever pulled something even remotely similar to this? Here's your threat to America; here's your tyranny; here's your end to the republic. It's not some tax that provides health-care to the poor; it's not some action taken to keep corporations from poisoning children; it's this shit where the fucking president of the united states personally bullies private entities into stifling public displays of dissent by the citizenry.
  9. I love how the intro mirrors the opening to Batman the Animated Series.
  10. Yeesh, rant alert. When did being a decent fucking human being become a polarizing political position, and how in the hell can the other side justify, nay, wallow in their grossly inhuman positions, ethical vacuum, and monstrous hypocritical parody of morality and still win elections? When did "Lets make vile bigotry and racism great again!" become mainstream? Do people realize what they're doing when they give heed to people who declare "We stand proudly with those who are vocally demanding a race war, we who hold the Jewish people in utter hatred and contempt while begrudgingly assisting them in starting the next nuclear war as to fulfill the prophesy laid out in Revelations where they will finally be wiped out (at least they'll kill those godless muslims while they're at it), and lets make all the dykes and faggots wear pink triangles in the name of Jesus!" Seriously, who the fuck follows people like these?
  11. I honestly wonder what the hell happened to her. Even as someone who made an art of being crass and offensive she never struck me as that far a right-wing nut-job, just a provocateur. I blame Rush for poisoning the well and the likes of Hannity and Alex Jones for their need at trying to one-up him on his bullshit.
  12. While opening strong, the omnipresence of President Shithole over everything in and out of society and Roseanne Barr's twitter rampage of vile and racist conspiracy theory shit and subsequent backlash and meltdown just got the show canceled; expect much griping and butt-hurt from the right-wing with a Fox news self-righteous victimhood aftertaste with comparisons to Tim Allen's claims of a liberal conspiracy against conservatives in Hollywood.
  13. but provoking division as a marketing strategy? the blowback can destroy a franchise, not just sink a mediocre movie.
  14. I agree, there are star wars characters out there that are just begging to be expanded upon but they stupidly went for the most iconic and divisive one in the entire cast. Why do they think it's a good business strategy to constantly divide the fanbase against itself?
  15. #4 I Fucking Called it! Those Fucking Assholes.
  16. please let there be a character named Titanius Anglesmith...
  17. NFL Bans Kneeling During The National Anthem Anyone think this will bring people back?
  18. Dino-stealth assassins is pretty ridiculous at this point, but what the hell. The only Dinosaurs shit I get to watch nowadays has them fucking around on a time-traveling train.
  19. There was nothing wrong with Emo Parker, I found it painfully and embarrassingly fun to watch and got the joke about how he was acting the way his nerdy self would think to be cool... Venom blew, can't forgive Topher Grace for that turd, and Franco as Goblin was a disaster... they should have brought back Dafoe if they wanted a Goblin... there were too many primary villains, it was too incohesive and that killed it.
  20. finally got to see it... was not disappointed.
  21. Yeah, TTG is all just branding and kitschy shit; not a toy line of action figures, vehicles and play sets- the "classic merchandising" that the underwriters of the 2011 reboot were obviously going for. I'm just saying if shows would have stopped pushing for that route then we wouldn't have lost the 2011 series, or Young Justice, or Symiotic Titan, or all the others that were great shows with a solid fan base but were lacking classic merchandise-ability.
  22. The 2011 Thundercats reboot had a more cohesive story, a deeper lore, emotional profundity, and overall gravitas (and admittedly terrible pacing) but they canned it because they couldn't classically merchandise it... do they think they're going to get toys out of whatever this is? Still, Teen Titans Go isn't that bad, but damn it if hasn't changed the flavor when you consume any other Teen Titans property made before or since, not sure if that's ultimately a good or bad thing. And TTG and their like can't be classically merchandised, there are scant few action figures and and accessories or a show and art style like that so they're going to have to look for other revenue streams, which would have been nice for the 2011 show if they had bothered, those fuckers... ah well, I have no idea what to expect, but it certainly wasn't that, so I guess we'll see.
  23. you're fucking kidding me... they're actually going Adventure Time/Gumball with this... fuck...
  24. weren't the collector and the grandmaster eternals, or were they celestials? wait, looked em up, they're Elders of the Universe. never mind
