BUT, I did really enjoy it. Mainly because Geralt became one of my favorite characters. I really hope he's cast well. This should be good. I wanna read the books at some point. I was told it's like readimg a bunch of side quests.

Disenchantment, the latest series from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, premieres August 17 on Netflix. So down for this.

3 eps deep with donny & digging this one so far, big WWF fan as a kid but never knew this existed so it's been a blast to see. it's one of those shows where having an ensemble cast of quirky/eccentric characters really works, given the nature of the business they're getting into & literally being the first all-female go at it. also, i keep saying the dude running the show would be fun for a Stan Lee biopic thing.

Netflix picks up Scorsese and De Niro's "The Irishman", now aiming for 2019 release update
-
executive produced by Nas, so it got my attention - but apparently it's not without its troubles Netflix's The Get Down is is one of the most expensive series in TV history article says comparatively, Game of Thrones season 6 took 100 million...fortunately, Adam Sandler proved Netrflix has $$$ to burn

Netflix commission "Bill Nye Saves The World" talk show, to launch Spring 2017 really cool to finally have that Mr. Wizard gap filled!

don't know about the casting (or who's really after this at this point) but i guess it's happening! Dafoe is an interesting call, at least.

So me and Katherine recently finished this and it's a lot of fun. If you can go in blind I highly recommend it, I'm not gonna post a trailer or any plot details here other than it's a scifi show and they lay that out in the first episode. If the first episode doesn't hook you then you probably shouldn't bother, but it's a short and easy watch. Don't go expecting it to be on the levels of something like Breaking Bad, TWD or GoT. It's not a very dark show. Way more fun than the current crop out at the moment, and I think that's a welcome change of pace. It's got some heavy moments, but nothing that will make you dread watching the next episode.

Just finished the first, but hopefully not last, season of this on Netflix and it's one of the funniest shows at the moment. 15 years after being locked in an underground bunker by a cult leader (stick around til the end to find out who it is!), 4 women are rescued, one of them being Kimmy Schmidt. She decides that instead of staying in Indiana where she was held captive, she is going to move to New York and start a new life and then shenanigans happen. It's probably got the catchiest opening since Arrested Development and has the funniest gay black best friend ever. The whole cast is pretty fantastic though. I especially like Carol Kane as the mostly insane landlady. Definitely worth a watch if you didn't know what to expect.

Anyone else catch this on Netflix? For me its perhaps the best single series of television that Netflix has produced (Not that I've watched all their stuff, but from what I've watched). Ansari his on a lot of stuff across a broad spectrum of topics that resonated with me. I made a thread. My annual thread. Wooooooooooo I'm tiny riiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

source i know i'm not a good case example (notoriously cheap, have netflix/ability to download screeners, etc) but i gotta admit, $10-15 sucks even before some fo the bolded factors. i can think of about 3 movies next year so far i'll go day 1 for (hopefully with a group), but most everything else'll wait. what about you?
