  1. You've been far too generous in my casting Aarty :)

I totally see the resemblance in the second shot of Frankie.

He'll kick my ass for saying this, (hehe, pun for the win!) but I've always thought Mr Sexy Hat looked a bit like Kick Gurry from Speed Racer - but in his early years.

  2. Absolutely "I'm on a boat".

Between Joel breaking out with it on the ferry to the statue of liberty - where every 20 something year old around us broke out laughing.... and showing my parents to celebrate my dads boat - it's given me fond and hilarious memories.

  3. I didnt even think of that Panch.

    That or

that everyone is infected and death spawns zombies, bitten or not...

At the very least, now that they've seeingly killed off most of the non comic based characters, (with a few stupidly named exceptions TDOG) hopefully S2 will introduce us to the awesome ones....

  4. So im all caught up too. Waiting for #79 to be scanned.... or the balls to buy it...

Im wondering why the zombies have formed in such huge herds now. Are they becoming smarter? Unionised? heh. And why they're not biting so much...

Loris death So glad Rick wouldn't have to deal with her constant. fucking. guilt-tripping. "Dont leave me" / "Why dont you do something" / "Dont go" / We're hungry" / "We're not safe here" / "We're safe here, why are you leaving" UGGGH. Weakest character in TWD IMO. Atleast Carol had the balls to feed herself to a zombie when things got too much. Lori just gave it up for Shane. Zombie apocalypse or not, bang someone other than your husbands best friend. Whore.

Woah. Yeah. Not too fond of Lori. Shame about Shanes kid though.

Jay said Carl was the one to watch out for. How right he was. Hopefully he doesn't crack. I think Lori's death strengthened Rick in a way - Carls death would decimate him.

    New people - Meh.

At first I struggled with the black and white aspect, and all the constant character introduction and removal.... Then I hit the alien parody thing and couldn't recognise the characters, and now I kind of welcome all the constant character changes as weak character genocide.

I'm really, really interested and have never read a comic that hadn't ended, so the waiting every month is a completely new thing.

The next one shows I think Glenn being completely surrounded, with a title to match. Cant wait.

  5. I've read the series in its entirety so far - flew through all of the books in just under 2 weeks.

They go in very different directions, and the TV series kind of jumps ahead a bit - but it will be interesting to watch season three. Some of the characters introduced become pretty integral to the plot line.

Love the show, and love who they cast for Sookie though!

    Bring on Season 3!

  6. NICHOLAS - Just wanted to let you know that I am no longer all about the felching. I know, I know. Its disappointing given how craftily you changed that when I forgot to log off in November - and it's been a great daily reminder of being with you guys since. But sadly, things change, and I’m not as enamoured with it as I once was. Please help me change it to something less.... disgusting!

  7. I don't feel excluded much at all.

Regarding politics, I steer clear mostly because as an Australian, even though I try to stay up to date with your happenings, the fact that your policies don't really effect me doesn't allow me to critisize your government. I could try to engage you guys in political debate from an Australian perspective, but it's pretty much the exact opposite of your political scheme, and really - who of you would care? (We have an opposition leader who is gearing up for an election this year who is likely to be voted in as a result of how the current party handled the GFC. He has vowed to bring back our dark age industrial legislation laws which were universally hated within our country, has not yet released his political policies and operates with a fundamentalist religious agenda that terrifies me........ still with me? didnt think so!)

Something that really frustrates me here on hondos tends to hapen alot. People who join and come at an established community like that over zealous new girl in high school who wants to exchange bff bracelets and organise a sleep over right the fuck away. My advice to newbies would be to take a breather, suss Hondos out, and make your mark gradually - or hook up with one of the founding members! haha - worked for me!. Dont try too hard too soon. One girl comes to mind - she tried to win us over immediately with her out-of-this-world and loudly announced vanity. She looked like an awesome person, and on reflection maybe got some harsh treatment, but her narcisistic approach put almost everyone with a vagina here right off. Don't do that newbies. Be gentle. The girls here can be rough if ruffled. Be nice and they're amazingly lovely.

Even if I haven't posted much, I've always kept up to date with Hondo's. For the most part, I check in a few times each week - I only post if I have something to contribute, or if im in a fun and upbeat mood. Or if i'm feeling like a right bitch that wants to take a swing at something soft. If you feel like its cliquey, i'm sorry. People like MH and Arty are like loveable walmart greeters here - they welcome you and point you in the direction of anything you might need. Other people like a bit of friction to keep this place active, dont take offence, and if you feel left out, try to meet as many Hondonians as you can in real life - it's an awesome experience, and I'm lucky to have met some absolutely amazing people through Hondo's that I truly consider friends. It's still an awesome thought to know that theres plenty more on my to meet list...
