Newtype Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) Axiom Verge is a side-scroller action-adventure game game where the player will control Trace, a man who after suffering a fatal injury wakes up in an ancient and high-tech world. The game focuses on action and exploration, and will feature over 60 items and power-ups. The gameplay borrows elements from classic games such as Metroid, Contra, Blaster Master, and Bionic Commando, among others $18 with PS+ at launch (cross buy for both Playstation versions even if the Vita version isn't out yet). 2D Metroidvania in the vein of...well, Metroid. Mysterious story with an existential vibe. Retro styled graphics with a purpose. Deliberate glitches tied to story. gameplay Collectables that affect all/most of your weapons rather than minor ammo expansions.
