Don't know about the comics and I haven't been watching religiously or anything but this most recent series has upped its game. This season has seen James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) as Brainiac nearly get Clark to release Zod, Lex developing as an all round nasty bastard and the death of a very major character. The main problem I'd had with Superman in the past was his apparent indestructability, hard to really care about someone who can't be hurt much let alone killed but Tom Welling plays the part well, giving him a finding his feet emotional frailty, which makes him a much more watchable character even more than Reeves's portrayal in my opinion. That said though that's only going on the bigger episodes, like many series they do tread water a fair bit on this.
Any other thoughts?

[edit: all heed the word of Jont]
Nah, comics have a limited life span, you might think you're preserving them in plastic, but all you're doing is burying them alive.

Ash, you might wanna edit in some...

The best horror movie of all tim for me is Dogsoldiers. It's a great werewolf movie.
What happens is a group of british soldiers end up in the woods on a training exceruss. They get attack by a group of werewolves. The soldiers end up in an old farmhouse for last ditch showdown. Awsome action. Awsome blood and guts. Check it out.
That was gonna be my post, Dog Soldiers kicks ass (and The Descent too but slightly less so), it's definitely one that needs to be checked out.
"We are now up against live, hostile targets. So, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the bitch!"

The Mission Impossible movies thus far have both been relatively decent actioners, the trailer for the 3rd one's out and looks good. It's being written and directed by JJ Abrams (creator of Lost and Alias), Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the villain and Simon Pegg, Billy Crudup and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers round out the cast. Plus there's bound to be lots of explosions and people being kicked in the face!

My lovely horse running through the field,
Where are you going with your fetlocks blowing in the wind?
I want to shower you with sugarlumps,
And ride you over fences,
Polish your hooves every single day,
And bring you to the horse dentist,
My lovely horse,
You're a pony no more,
Running around with a man on your back,
Like a train in the night,
Like a train in the night.
Wait wait, I can do this bit...fucking legend!

Not bad though it has a tendency to send me lizards. Because of course being a SoaD fan means I'm gonna fucking love 'Ultraspank' and 'Kreator', makes me think 'why did you play this song?!'
The 10 skips an hour thing is harsh at times (especially at Ultraspank-time) but at least it gives me a bunch of Muse album tracks I haven't heard and once in a while throws out real gems.

Steak's good but if it's a rest of life thing I go for pork. It's so versatile, pork, ham bacon (the vegetarian's curse), sausage, gammon, etc, can't really say that for beef.

Off to Ireland for the weekend. You do know what that means!

Coulda sworn I saw some voting irregularities in the last half hour or so, I could be wrong and if so ignore this, but if I'm right then I hope any victories gained taste like ash in the culprits mouth...if I'm right then they'll know who I'm talking to.
Seeming a lot like US vs Them right now.

Beth Hirsch has the most amazing voice.
I've got 'Lamb - Fear of Fours' on my PC, if you don't have it just remind me next time we're talking on AIM.
PS: Def-Heart? How about Def-Metal, it's almost a pun...?

I'm still not really a fan of light rock like this but 'Keane - Hopes and Fears' and 'Snow Patrol - Final Straw' are probably more like Coldplay's first album than Coldplay themselves, at least from what little I've heard of them.

Yeah as good as he is in the role I don't think he's indispensible, they already had Jake Gyllenhall (sp?) lined up for no 2 just in case Tobey's back couldn't make it...

Cant find any reference of this online but this was in the Manchester Evening News's quotes of the day:
"It's called Sin. I even felt sorry for the trees they cutdown for the script paper. If youare a connoisseur of the terrible you might get a twisted joy out of it." - Batman star Gary Oldman on his appearance in what he describes as the worst movie ever made. That mean he's not on for a sequel?

Republica - Ready To Go (mmm, Saffron... )
Now I’m naked, nothing but an animal
But can you fake it, for just one more show?
And what do you want, I want to change
And what have you got when you feel the same

Maybe Queens of the Stone Age are only big over here? It was Go With The Flow...
Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign towers.
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn.
Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood letting.
Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no fear cavalier.
Renegade steer clear! A tournament, tournament, a tournament of lies.
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline.
