i can totally see the desire for it here, but it would've been another brutal gut-punch in an episode full of them. from here i can kinda agree, but during said ep? i was grateful
Honestly, it would not have advanced the plot, so I understand why it wasn't in the episode, but I really hope the filmed it for a DVD extra or something, because I just want to see the performances of Anna Gunn and Betsy Brandt and RJ Mitte when they go through the incredibly awkward conversation. Like everyone else in the show, they are all such talented actors, and it would be a hell of a scene to perform.

Does anyone else wish we could have seen Skylar and Marie clueing Walt Jr in, uncut?

Didn't AMC give Breaking Bad 16 episodes to the up things because they couldn't afford to make that show along with their 60s period piece and post apocalyptic horror series? Now we've still got those shows as well as a western, a second post-apocalyptic show, an action drama I still haven't watched and a breaking bad spin-off? What the hell, AMC?
What are you talking about? Better Call Saul has already been confirmed by AMC.

I think the red room and the guest stars are the only new elements they've added to the show format, right? I mean, Aisha Tyler is new, but she's not a format element.
-
How are you liking the cameo guests they bring in who are usually stars in other CW shows? Most don't have improv backgrounds, or even comedy backgrounds. Some get right into the rhythm of the games, but for some it never really clicks.

Yup. Also, the animation wasn't as crisp as last season.
Yeah, for the first season, they used one animation house to animate everything, Studio Mir. For the second season, they used a second studio, Studio Pierrot, to divide up the work with Studio Mir. Speculation is that issues with the quality of the animation they got from Studio Pierrot lead to it taking they so long to get Book 2 out, and it is reported that they went back to using only Studio Mir for Books 3 and 4. But some of the animation looks really good in the trailer, so I'd say to expect some inconsistency in quality, with some really good looking episodes in the mix.

So this season, from the first two episodes, appears to be even less episodic than the first season, which was far less episodic than the first show. With the first show, almost every episode tied back into the story later own, with characters coming back and events have repercussions later on, but you could probably watch several episodes slightly out of order and it wouldn't be a big deal. With the first season of Korra, each episode set up the next one, so you did have to watch them in order, but each episode still felt like it was its own entity. They each had their own arch with a beginning, middle and end. These first two episodes didn't feel like they had their own beginning, middle and end. They just felt like chapters in a larger story. They both seem like they are building up for a pay-off down the road. That pay-off may be the next two episodes, because next we have a two-parter: Civil War Parts 1 and 2, which they teased with the final season in the second episode. Hopefully, when all four episodes are viewed, it will feel like a more complete story.
-
When you say the very last episode, do you mean the entire 4-part finale, or do you mean you've already seen Sozin's Comet parts 1 through 3?
Anyway, I want to hear some of your thoughts. Who were you favorite characters, favorite villains, favorite episodes, favorite scenes? Where you surprised by Zuko in the Book 2 finale? What did you think of the world-building, and how do you think the mythology holds up to other modern mythologies (is it worthy of comparison to fantasy franchises like Star Wars, LotR, Harry Potter, etc)?
Anyway, the show is really great, isn't it? The sequel series is a real set up in production value, so I highly recommend the Bluray or a good 1080p rip.
-
You didn't finish watching it (that's what I took from you saying "got to the earth bender prison and said fuck it"), and you had no affection for the show any of the characters. Anyway, if you are inclined to revisit it after watching the TV series, the Rifftrax would be the way to go.
-
He watched it in the wrong order. The appropriate order is the Avatar: The Last Airbender TV series first, The Legend of Korra TV series second, then The Last Airbender movie never.

I just want to know, that's all. I think I have that right to know who I offended.
It was me, Panch. I didn't like your joke, I didn't think it was funny. I thought it was dickish. For your future consideration, if someone posts fan art of Don Cheadle as Wolverine, and you replied "Yeah, if it's an X-Monkeys movie," I would also neg that. If some posted an image of Ian McKellan as Wolverine and you replied "Yeah, if it's an X-Faggots movie," I would also neg that. I don't think your joke was funny. So I negged it.

What's the world coming to when you make a joke at the expense of an entire marginalized community, and one person disapproves? That's not America!

It says it comes with 55 hours of special features. Firstly, does that include commentary tracks? If it does, that's an inflated number. Secondly, if not, are those new special features, or did each previous set have about 10 hours of features, and this just collects it all?

Well, this is ridiculous. Summer 2015 is so jam-packed, it's practically got a huge tent-pole franchise film coming out each weekend, and there's no room for Ant-Man to succeed. Summer 2015 has Avengers 2, Batman/Superman, Star Wars 7, Jurassic Park 4, Hunger Games 4, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Terminator 5, Independence Day 2, an Assassin's Creed movie, maybe the Warcraft movie and a few others too.
-
timmy, it's inconceivable that would happen. We're you paying attention to Hank's phone call to Marie? If that isn't evidence that Hank is dead, I don't know what is. Hank is dead. Gomez is dead. I think Jesse is a toss-up.
-
Well gee, I think that Voyager probably started after Deep Space Nine did? Let me see? Does 1995 come after 1993? I'm no expert but I'm going to go with "yes."
It's not clear when you say 'post-Deep Space Nine' if you mean after DS9 premiered (1993), or after it ended (1999).
-
I thought that was a set of Breaking Bad pogs. I have to say I'm a little disappointed.
Um, yeah, there are no words for that episode that everyone else isn't also thinking.
-
Does First Contact count as post-Deep Space Nine? I mean, it came out while Deep Space Nine was still on the air, but so did Voyager.

Eventually, someone is going to think it's a good idea to remake Back to the Future, and that is going to be the final straw, and Hollywood will burn.
-
Most probably, but even if she isn't they have Disney money to pay her with should she negotiate for more pay.
You seem to think Disney got their Disney money by being generous to actors. Everyone in these Marvel movies except RDJ gets paid very little compared to what they get in other movies.
-
If they did want this leak, do you think that would mean Sackhoff is already signed?
-
Yes. Sackhoff is a great choice. It's hard to tell how much of Starbuck's awesomeness came from the writing and how much came from her, but I suspect few actresses could have given a performance that resulted in such a great portrayal. It's odd that Marvel would ask her about her availability without asking her to sign an NDA. Usually, they don't want to fuel speculation before they've signed a contract because if there is a lot of positive buzz around someone being cast in a role, it can give the actor some leverage to ask for more money as they are trying to rope them into multi-movie deals. Unless, she did sign one and violated it, in which case, risky move if she wants the role.

I think this trailer looks great, and I believe people who disagree are wrong.
