  1. Just wanted to bump Salo, I got to scar yet another mind letting someone watch that lovely piece of cinematic wonder that got the director murdered...I LOVE Salo!

Last movie I watched was Dororo. Japanese demon flick, not much substance, but it was fun, over the top gore too. Kinda like Versus, but no guns and set in old times.

  2. I've been watching a lot of docs lately as well. A lot of them on North Korea and that whole area's history. Netflix has a few good docs on the subject, but really the best one I saw that shows how truly fucked up N. Korea is was The Red Chapel, where two Dannish-Korean (i think it was Denmark) comedians and a Dannish producer/comedian go to North Korea to try and put on a sketch comedy show The comedy is not really what the doc is about, because see one of the Dannish-Korean comedians is a "spastic" and in N. Korea there are no people with hanicaps or retardations of any kind. To see how they treat him and his fully "healthy" counterpart is some of the most fucked up shit ever. They are OBVIOUSLY trying to indoctrinate the healthy guy into coming and being a part of the regime. While they say nice platitudes to the "spastic" he in reality knows he would have been killed at birth or as soon as his condition became apparent. It is a very good look into modern N. Korea.

There is another one called the "Juche Idea" or something close to that, which kind of explains Kim Jong Il's theory on making movies. The good thing about that doc is that you actually get to see some N. Korean movies and shows, something not many americans get the chance to do.

Moving into a different realm "Darkon" is about a bunch of Nerds in Baltimore that have basically turned the city into a LARP game. The trials and tribulations of one man and his force vs. the "King" of Darkon and his force and allies is quite interesting. You get it all, from 5 minutes of some kid pretending to be fighting stuff in his living room, to the political underpinning of the whole Darkon realm. If you are a nerd it is pretty funny as well. Especially the one kid who joined Darkon for his first ever human interaction.

  3. I just want to say....FUCK SPIDERS...yeah they ate insects, and small mammals and pterodactyls now apparently, but you know, I would trade having to deal with all the other bugs spiders keep away, if spiders would just go extinct.

  4. Well on my evil chick char, I bedded Liara first game. I am playing the "good guy" playthrough right now. And Jack is too easy I think...wasn't any pay off like I thought there might be with Tali....still nothing.

  5. To me bacon and sweets just don't mix. Bacon is damn good enough on it's own not to need any other stuff with it...

And what is the shit the brits call "Sticky Bacon" cause that doesn't look like any bacon I've seen?

  6. I just wanted to add, I spent the past 2 games romancing Tali, just so I could see their face without the body suits on, and when I finally got her in bed, it cuts away as she is removing her mask, and in ME3 she takes her mask off again after you (BIG BIG SPOILER DONT READ IF YOU ARE PLAYING)

Kill the Geth and get back the Quarian home world

But she has her back to the camera the whole time!! I am gonna be pissed if they don't show any Quarians without masks on!

  7. Seriously, best game ever! It has all the right elements, not too much of any one, not too little, it's just perfection in video game form. The choices aren't clear anymore either. Send in the Krogan squad to die, and they just might come out alive anyways, Choose the Geth over the Quarians and...well no spoilers yet. About 25 hours in, not even close to finishing. Can't say enough about this game!

  8. Oh I have consoles too to lure all the little kids in. Then while they are having fun playing a game, I am surfing forums trying to figure out why the same game wont run on my PC.

There are some games I like playing on my pc though versus playing it on a console. If the damn console makers would just put out their own branded mouse and keyboard though I would probably get rid of my PC's.

  9. Syrian Doctors and Nurses torture patients at Military Hospital

Updated at 6:45 a.m. ET: Syrian doctors tortured patients brought into a military hospital in the battered city of Homs, according to a hospital employee who filmed the apparent evidence. The video was broadcast by Britain's Channel 4 News Monday.

The very graphic video, which the news channel said was filmed covertly, showed severely wounded men blindfolded and chained to hospital beds. A rubber whip and an electrical cable sit on a table in one room.

"I have seen detainees being tortured by electrocution, whipping, beating with batons, and by breaking their legs," the employee told a French photojournalist who reportedly smuggled the video outside of Syria, according to Channel 4.

The authenticity of the film could not be independently verified

The hospital employee said he tried to stop "the shameful things" that were happening but was called a traitor.

He said the torture was carried out by civilian and military surgeons and other medical staff including nurses. It reportedly took place in the ambulance section, the prison ward, the X-ray department and the intensive care unit. The footage was filmed over the past three months, Channel 4 said.

U.S. and European governments have been pleading for Russia to rethink his anti-interventionist stance on Syria, in what appeared to be an increasingly desperate effort for consensus among world powers to stop a crackdown that has killed more than 7,500 people.

  10. I would so buy it if it was a companion cube!!

Otherwise I am with mal...what the fuck is the point of ME spending $300 more dollars to play games I can already play perfectly fine? The market I could less about. Steam has on average 2-4 MILLION people connected to it at any one time. It ain't going anywhere soon, unless the pc market dies, which if it hasn't done by now I don't think it will ever happen (within my lifetime of course).

Honestly I have supported Steam since Day 2 (I couldn't connect day 1), and if this did what steam does for PC, for consoles then I could see it being EXTREMELY successful, for many reasons already mentioned. Will I buy a Steambox? Probably not, I like building computers, and half the fun of getting games is getting them to run. Is it driver issues this time? Can my PC handle the game? Did the devs fuck up and release the game too early, it's a crapshoot.

So all you lazy stupid americans, give Steam more money, please! I know it is hard to figure out computers and you should just stick to whacking off to child porn and luring people to your home so you can rob and then kill them. That's all easy enough. Figuring out how a game will run....fuck that, that is why God invented the console!

    Go PC Master Race!

  11. Logan your Dad and Step-mom are cool as hell. One who's got probably one of the world best comics collections and the other is a singer/songwriter with a few albums to her name and many adoring South American fans (unless she has gotten more popular elsewhere since then). Of course I think we were rolling that night so I dunno, but either way they were both very cool people regardless of the drugs.

    Yay me!

edit: the date needs to be changed apparently, didn't see that before, but I assure you that pic was taken today, when I finally got Holy Terror and 18 Days in after waiting weeks for them.

  12. I don't think this warrants it's own thread, but has anyone seen Snuff Box? British semi-sketch comedy show. I've watched the first few eps on Netflix, and it is hard to describe. It has a plot (kinda), but then it randomly just goes off on tangents. Still worth a watch if you like odd comedy shows.

  13. Interesting documentary. To think that there is even such a place in the world. I have always been curious to why the Japanese are so prone to suicide and I have read and seen numerous reasons to explain why. Still none of it really seems to completely answer the question. And also like the ecologist says, "Why come to such a beautiful place to commit suicide?" Until the dead start to talk, we will probably never know truly.

  14. I like my games as well (except Shinobido, but I just need to get used to the controls I think). I want to try Wipeout and BlazBlue eventually. And while you can use other controls besides the Vita controls they are always active, so like in Shinobido I will try to use the grappling hook with normal controls, but my finger will be resting on the back touchscreen so it will think I am trying to use the touchscreen to aim, and wont let me aim with the left stick. Stuff like that is what gets me. Also having to use the Sixaxis control in Dynasty Warriors to aim for certain minigames. I look like a fool out in public suddenly turning this way and that way to try and hit everyone in game.

I am curious as to how the F1 2k11 game plays. I love racing games, the more sim like the better imo, but I also like the whole Wipeout series. I have the psp wipeout game and the PSN Wipeout game and expansion. So 2048 will be a definate purchase sometime in the future.
