  1. Heh, although I don't agree with your friend's advice, I do agree with boxing's cardio workout. It can be great for the heart, and pretty useful in real fights. However, grapplers are hard to beat because strikers dont usually know what to do once they get into the clinch or end up on the ground. Thats mainly why most are winning in UFC these days.

Since most jiu-jitsu, wrestlers, other grapplers, etc. are winning in UFC and other MMA type events such as Pride, Mixed Martial Arts is really starting to be taken literally, since strikers are learning that they need to train in a bit of grappling to become a dangerous opponent, and grapplers need to learn striking as well.

  2. MMA = Mixed Martial Arts, like UFC/Pride Fighting. Once I realized how useless a boxer vs someone that can do MMA type stuff is in a real fight, I stopped getting as much into boxing, although don't get me wrong, I still do like it.

  3. Mmmmm, a new puzzle fighter game. Sounds tasrty.

Street Fighter Alpha is great, but i like Capcom vs SNK 2 better. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is great as well. I still havent bought my Gamecube for Metroid and Zelda (also Donkey Kong and Mario Kart when they come out), but if Puzzle Fighter is coming as well, then Ill be buying one of those $60-65 system on ebay soon enough. :-)

  4. For me Image has always been about Shadow Hawk, Savage Dragon, Supreme, Young Blood, And Maxx. I know that there were a few I liked, but didnt really get too into. Shadow Hawk has always been the man though.

  5. Yes, Capcom. One of the greatest companies in the video game industry. What would we do without them? Lets just think of the few classics. Megaman, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Strider, Ghouls n Ghosts, Zelda, 1942, Final Fight, Alien vs Predator, Captain Commando, ie. (the list just goes on). It seems that some of the new school gamers are forgetting about capcom.

I was just thinking, has everyone forgotten of them so quickly? I myself, am a loyal fan, and await further production (especially Capcom vs SNK 3 and Capcom All-Stars when it comes out), and am just wondering who out there still sweats them? Lemme know.

I am also hearing rumors from Spiffy that there are a few Capcom vs SNK 2 players on this forum that don't suck? Let me know. :D

  6. I'm a big comic book fan, but I haven't had time to see it yet. I was wondering if anyone thought it was horrible, not for the fact to be comparing it to Spiderman, like the rest of the world is doing. I did hear that there was an overload of special effects, someone told me that they just put too many in there. Other than that, I'd like to know how good it was from a comic book fan's perspective.

  7. Well - this was a tough one. But I just had to give it to Jerry. Although George is the man, and you need the other characters to complete the show, it does revolve around Jerry's place. For me, his humor is the best, and it IS very close to call one, but I did. Cheers to Jerry. R.I.P. Scienfeld. :-(

  8. Too bad new comics just aren't as appealing as they once were. Although I still collect them, I only buy older issues. It seems like they have just lost their touch, and the only company making deasent comics now is Image, although Marvel will always be on top considering their history of ownage.
