  1. Relax! Yes it sucks! I agree 100%. Example: I just got back from Alita's house and they were watching Ayashi No Ceres english dubbed. The only voice that sounded like it belonged was Aya's. Everyone else sounds like old people in little kids bodies. But then again, in the DVDs that I have, the Subtitles are horrible. They run off the screen, go by tooo quickly (mind you, I read fast but they just took that to the extreme), and sometimes your watching it and the subtitles just don't come up at all. Very annoying. NEways, solution is.... let's all take the Japanese course at FIU together so we don't have to deal with subtitles or dubbing. Who's with me??  :approve:

  2. why is she in charge of shit if she cann't even tell sango is talking about anime just because the man put in an intro for the love of pete man

First off I'd like to say on behalf of Sango, that Sango's a FEMALE.  :D

Besides that I just have to say, Artistic, that your worst than me. I get really pissy over alot of things but you took that way too seriously.  :plain:  Chill, people make mistakes. Same way you mistook Sango for a man.

    Be   :D  about it.

As for the FF anime, I've seen it if we are talking about Final fantasy Legend of the Crystals. That's all I've seen. Want to start on Unlimited but I think I'll wait for DVDs or until Sango rents them.  :D

  3. Well, the very first anime I saw was Gall Force on Sci-fi. I then saw Sailor Moon and couldn't stop watching it. But that wasn't the one that got me hooked. It was Fushigi Yugi. I rented the 1st volume at Blockbuster and was so bitter when I couldn't find the second. That's when I went Anime crazy and started buying them.  :D

An anime classic  ???  well, I believe that would be Akira for sure. I say that when I was like in 8th grade, and it confused the crap out of me. Had to watch it a good 3 times to get what the hell was going on. Now, I can say that it's awesome! Very good all round.

    I  :D  Anime!!!!

  4. Sorry, Sango but I have just been informed that the spelling is backwards. It's Ranma not Ramna. My bad. That's why it's called "get-up-and-look-for-one-of-your-movies-that-says-the-name-so-you-know-you-spelled-it

    -right!"  So go fix it!

    :D                                                                    :D

Anyway, my fav is obviously Ryoga!!  :D (P-Chan:Squeak!!)I have a few similar characteristics... mostly that I have no sense of direction so you know...

As for the favorite episode... I think I actually read it... It was the one of Ryoga and Akane visiting Ryoga's house. Funniest thing was finding the note from his parents. I beleive it said "Went shopping, be back in a month" something like that. It just toooooo funny cause my mother is the exact same way;  she dosen't know how to go anywhere besides work, Publix, and home. Very sad...  :p

  5. She's crazy. Complete and utterly crazy. Jo-Jo had lost her movie of EVA and when I tell her your gonna lend it to me, she says she found it... one of these days, I think she's gonna make a very nice man pull out all his hair. OH people can be so...

    I hate People!!  :D

  6. :0  Ok then can you tell your boyfriend to give it back to me. You know how I get with my original stuff. I make copies for everyone but my originals stay at home. By the way can I have The Skulls back, too?

  7. :D Who has that movie anyways? I finished watching Alita's Eva collection and I am still waiting for Jo-Jo to lend me the movie. She lost it somewhere in her house. I feel incomplete knowing that there is a movie of it that might explain a little more on the story.    ???  I want to watch!!!
  8. Actually, I was at my sister's house a few days ago (Ryoga was driving) and she mentioned the name of the next Disney movie... ... I don't remember the name right now but the story, I think, was something about a Hawaiian girl or something... I'm gonna call her and get back to you on that one. I have a bad memory...

  9. Yes the OVAs are really cool. I especially love the episode of Chichiri and how they talk about his past. He actually stays serious through out most of the episode and doesn't have his mask on that much. He's so cute!!  :D

  10. :D I will lend it to you on one condition; you don't let the pussy touch it.  :sneaky:  If you do then your Jubei will be punished. :D Anyways, your boyfriend still has my Inuyasha. You can take it... but remember   I will find out if she touches my DVDs!

    :D Have a nice day!

  11. I can actually remember when Final Fantasy 1 came out... I didn't even play it... I watched it. I have most of the FF saga and I love it.  :D

--I still have # 1 for NES (and it still works)

    --Anthology=5 & 6 (which is 3 for SNES)

--Chronicles=4 (which I heard was 2 but I'm not sure) & Chrono Trigger

    --7,8,9,and the awesome 10!!! :D

--2 & 3 for gameboy (I'm missing Legend and Adventure)

The best saga in my eyes!! :D

Chrono Trigger & Cross are very good... along with Secret of Mana (I haven't played Legend yet) and Xenogears!! :D

  12. I can honestly say, I only remember owning the Atari... my older sister played it, but I don't remember much of it. I actually got hooked before I knew I was hooked. When living in NJ around age 7 or 8 I remember sitting in the "game room" of our house and JUST WATCH my PARENTS play Final Fantasy 1. :D Yup, and here is the shocker...  :0 I still have it and it still works.

I didn't actually start playing till Super Mario 3 for SNES... cause I would play other games but they didn't interest me that much. After that, all I remember is Final Fantasy 7 and all the parts that followed. I guess I'm into all the FFs cause of watching the original. They are all awesome! I have collected them all (well I'm missing 2 of the many gameboy games but I'll get them soon)!!  :0

  13. I agree with Alita. I  believe in subtitles until I learn Japanese. Reason being is that when something is dubbed, it's been translated, sure yeah, but the problem is that they TRY to make it actually look like the character is actually saying it so they add and delete some words from the translation and sometimes change the storyline.

Subtitles are sometimes wrong also, but at least you understand most of the Real storyline. Don't get me started with the dubbed version of Sailor Moon and the two scouts that are "cousins". HA!

Besides that, the people that dubb japanese movies haven't perfected it yet either; they still have the mouths moving with no words coming out. :0

  14. I'm with Alita's idea to take Escaflowne to the retreat! It's a good way to clear out a room because from what I hear, most of the girls think we watch to much anime.  :D  I think not!

By the way, if you still need to see Blue Seed, I have that but on DVD. So just let me know.

  15. :dissappointed: I didn't get offended. I was just arguing my point. It's  :D though cause it was a misunderstanding on my behalf.   :plain:  Alita, you know me... I'm just like Jose; I make a big deal out of nothing.  :p

Sorry, Junkerseed but even though it is true that it's the same pattern of storyline, it's still cute. Now a days there is not much creative thinking when it comes to some movies though. It seems like people (at least here in the US) are running out of ideas. It's sad...

  16. I wouldn't mind seeing the OVAs dubbed but I wouldn't like to only have it dubbed. That's why I have the DVD with the subtitles. You know how the translation are. Sometimes the subtitles are a little bad, but at least it makes sense with what is going on in the anime.  ;)  So when are you gonna buy it dubbed so I can watch it?

  17. :plain:

To make a movie, you need a storyline... no matter what kind of movie it is. Besides that, just because it's animated doesn't mean that it's for 10 year olds. I know adults that watch cartoons and play Video games and they are respectable. They work full-time, have kids, and still have time to watch what you call "10 year olds'" cartoons. For your information, the target audience ranges for animations have lately been for teens and adults as well as kids (usually 17 and up; like anime). If you want something more "mature" go watch Hentai!!
