  1. Jesse Custer - Matthew McConaughey

Gotta go with SB's suggestion all the way. Like IC, I hope a Preacher film never sees the light of day...but if it does, this better fucking well be the man who plays Jesse.

    Cassidy - Shane MacGowan

    shanem.jpg

Dillon actually based Cassidy's look off the famous Pogues singer, and he'd be perfect for the role, if only he weren't so old and out of shape.

    Tulip O'Hare - Scarlett Johannson

    scarlett.jpg

My favorite actress, and she proved she could handle a gun in "The Island".

    The Saint - Clint Eastwood

    David Carradine

Both would be excellent...Clint looks the part more, but I can't help think Carradine would pull it off better.

  4. Of the 'Man with no name' trilogy, I've only seen 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly', but it's definitely one of my favorite films (Quentin Tarantine proclaimed it to be his all-time favorite, I believe). Epic, stylish, funny, with sparse dialogue (the first ten minutes contain not a single spoken word), and a legendary climax. While I haven't seen 'A Fistful of Dollars', I checked out Yojimbo a while back, and enjoyed it immensely (probably even more so than 'Ugly').

  5. fightclub.jpg

Just saw Fight Club for the first time the other day...I know, I know, I'm way behind the times...was one of the best films I've ever seen, no doubt, and I've been told I bear a certain resemblance to Edward Norton in that flick.

With your feet on the air and your head on the ground

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

    Your head will collapse

    But there's nothing in it

    And you'll ask yourself

    Where is my mind?

    Way out in the water

    See it swimmin'

Yep, Pixies are officially the shit.

  6. Was Ghost in the Shell 2 any good?
Course. GITS was never really big on entertainment value, or emotional impact, but if you dig badass artwork and scientific/philosophical mumbo jumbo, it's worth the 15 clams.

Also, im not sure, but i think Hitman only goes up to about 5 TPBs, mebbe halfway...rest youll have to get in issues (damn you, DC).
Aye, it's a crying shame. Vol. 2 is actually out of print, so I haven't been able to find it anywhere at a reasonable price.

Oh, and you should really read Endless Nights if you havent already, mighty fine epilogue.
'Tis, and I have read it (we've been over this before).

I got those too, my wallet still bears the emotional scars. It's worth the money though, as is Otomo's previous work Domu.
I hear good things about Domu. Supposedly it contains a lot of the same themes present in Akira right?
  7. Christ amighty IC...actually, I'm mostly just jealous of the complete Lone Wolf collection.

    My collection consists of:

The Sandman vols. 1-11 by Neil Gaiman (plus 'The Dream Hunters' and 'Taller Tales')

Preacher vols. 1-9 by Garth Ennis

Transmetropolitan vols. 0-10 by Warren Ellis (currently loaned to a friend in England)

    Watchmen by Alan Moore

Akira vols. 1-6 by Katsuhiro Otomo

Ghost In The Shell vols. 1-2 by Masamune Shirow

Berserk vol. 1 by Kentaro Miura (though technically I have all 30 current volumes bootlegged on cd, thanks to IC)

Hitman vol. 1 by Garth Ennis (I need to get the rest)

All top shit, it's hard for me to pick favorites.

    (IC, that's a beautiful thing you've done.)

  8. Let's see...

    - over 20 John Wayne westerns (can't be arsed to go through 'em all)

    - 4 Godzilla flicks (plus a ton on VHS)

    - Reggae and Ska Hits

    - Bob Marley: The Legend Live

    - Hero

    - The Matrix trilogy (should've rented first, the second two were tripe)

    - The Lord of the Rings trilogy (from back when I wasn't disgusted with Peter Jackson's butchering of the books)

That's about all for mine, parents and sisters have a ton more, but they're all shit. I get most of my movies through my local library.

  9. :howyoudoin: Ah, the nostalgia. Sandman was my first comic love...started reading it when I was 13, before moving on to other Vertigo titles like Preacher and Transmetropolitan. As for favorite story arc, I have to go with 'The Dream Hunters' a collaboration between Neil Gaiman and my favorite artist, Yoshitaka Amano. In fact, I probably owe Amano's artwork for finding Sandman in the first place.
