  1. And now the purple dusk of twilight time

Steals across the meadows of my heart

High up in the sky the little stars climb

Always reminding me that we’re apart

You wander down the lane and far away

Leaving me a song that will not die

    Love is now the stardust

    Of yesterday

    The music

    Of the years

    Gone by

Sometimes I wonder why I spend

    The lonely nights

    Dreaming of a song.

    The melody haunts my reverie

And I am once again with you.

When our love was new, and each kiss an inspiration.

But that was long ago, and now my consolation

Is in the stardust of a song.

Beside the garden wall, when stars are bright

    You are in my arms

The nightingale tells his fairy tale

    Of paradise where roses grew.

Though I dream in vain, in my heart you will remain

    My stardust melody

    The memory of love’s refrain.

  2. Down the street you can hear her scream 'you're a disgrace',

as she slams the door in his drunken face

And now he stands outside and all the neighbours start to gossip

    and drool

He cries 'oh girl, you must be mad, what happened to the sweet

    love you and me had?'

Against the door he leans and starts a scene, and his tears

fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually

    A little Indian brave,

who before he was ten played war games in the woods with his

    Indian friends

And he built a dream that when he grew up he would be a

    fierce warrior Indian Chief

Many moons passed and more the dream grew strong,

until tomorrow he would sing his first war song and fight his

    first battle

But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his

    sleep

    that night

And so castles made of sand, melt into the sea, eventually

There was a young girl, whose heart was a frown

'cause she was crippled for life, and she couldn't speak a sound

And she wished and prayed she could stop living, so she decided

    to die

She drew her wheel chair to the edge of the shore,

and to her legs she smiled 'you won't hurt me no more'

But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say,

'Look, a golden winged ship is passing my way'

And it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going

And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually

  3. It's very far away,

It takes about half a day,

To get there, if we travel by dragonfly

    No, it's not in Spain,

    But all the same,

    You know,

    It's a groovy name

    And the wind's just right.

    Hang on, My Darling,

Hang on if you want to go

You know it's a really groovy place

And it's just a little bit of Spanish Castle Magic.

    The clouds are really low,

    And they overflow,

    With cotton candy

    And battle grounds,

    Red and brown.

But it's all in your mind,

    Don't think your time,

    On bad things,

Just float your little mind around.

    Look out

    Hang on, My Darling, Yeah

Hang on if you want to go

It puts everything else on the shelf

With just a little bit of Spanish Castle Magic

Just a little bit of daydream here and there.

    Hang on, My Darling, Yeah

Hang on if you want to go

It puts everything else on the shelf

With just a little bit of Spanish Castle Magic

Just a little bit of daydream here and there.

  4. Read Vol. 1 last night, and I can confidently state that this is some awesome shit. Brilliant artwork, cool story, and Puck and Guts are perfect foils of each other. If you get the time, I'd be obliged to you for that burned CD...otherwise Ima be out've a small fortune for those 30+ volumes.

P.S. I hear the series doesn't really pick up till about Vol. 3 or 4. That about right?

  5. "Thus Spoke Zaratharus"? The hell? It's Zarathustra people...bone up on your Nietzsche! :birf2:

I dunno...I liked Ep.1 but it took them so long to come out with a sequel that I kinda lost interest. If this turns out to be good though, I'll have to score a copy of Ep.2 first.

No word on a release date, huh?

  6. Definately will. In fact, I think I'll start taping it tonight since Adult Swim is gonna replay it from the beginning again. So this would be a good opportunity for MH and everyone else who hasn't seen it to start watching, too.

  7. Saw the last episode this morning, which is stupid cuz I didn't watch the 25 episodes preceding it. Still, while I have no idea what happened to Ed or who Julia, Viscious, and Jin are, the ending still nearly moved me to tears. "It's all just a dream"...damn, that's powerful stuff.

  9. So does the OAV tie into the series with the Elektra chick and everything? I guess the best way to find out would be to watch it myself, but I'm curious...

    Anyway, thanks IC.

  10. Well shit...I saw the movie last night and I'm fuckin' hooked. A question: Does the plotline of the movie relate to the series, or is it like an alternate reality type thing? Also, does the manga follow the same events as the anime, or is it just an offshoot?

  11. Someone's got it in for me, they're planting stories in the press

Whoever it is I wish they'd cut it out but when they will I can only guess.

They say I shot a man named Gray and took his wife to Italy,

She inherited a million bucks and when she died it came to me.

    I can't help it if I'm lucky.

People see me all the time and they just can't remember how to act

Their minds are filled with big ideas, images and distorted facts.

Even you, yesterday you had to ask me where it was at,

I couldn't believe after all these years, you didn't know me better than that

    Sweet lady.

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your mouth,

Blowing down the backroads headin' south.

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,

    You're an idiot, babe.

It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

I ran into the fortune-teller, who said beware of lightning that might strike

I haven't known peace and quiet for so long I can't remember what it's like.

There's a lone soldier on the cross, smoke pourin' out of a boxcar door,

You didn't know it, you didn't think it could be done, in the final end he won the wars

    After losin' every battle.

I woke up on the roadside, daydreamin' 'bout the way things sometimes are

Visions of your chestnut mare shoot through my head and are makin' me see stars.

You hurt the ones that I love best and cover up the truth with lies.

One day you'll be in the ditch, flies buzzin' around your eyes,

    Blood on your saddle.

Idiot wind, blowing through the flowers on your tomb,

Blowing through the curtains in your room.

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,

    You're an idiot, babe.

It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

It was gravity which pulled us down and destiny which broke us apart

You tamed the lion in my cage but it just wasn't enough to change my heart.

Now everything's a little upside down, as a matter of fact the wheels have stopped,

What's good is bad, what's bad is good, you'll find out when you reach the top

    You're on the bottom.

I noticed at the ceremony, your corrupt ways had finally made you blind

I can't remember your face anymore, your mouth has changed, your eyes

    don't look into mine.

The priest wore black on the seventh day and sat stone-faced while the building

    burned.

I waited for you on the running boards, near the cypress trees, while the springtime

    turned Slowly into autumn.

Idiot wind, blowing like a circle around my skull,

From the Grand Coulee Dam to the Capitol.

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,

    You're an idiot, babe.

It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

I can't feel you anymore, I can't even touch the books you've read

Every time I crawl past your door, I been wishin' I was somebody else instead.

Down the highway, down the tracks, down the road to ecstasy,

I followed you beneath the stars, hounded by your memory

    And all your ragin' glory.

I been double-crossed now for the very last time and now I'm finally free,

I kissed goodbye the howling beast on the borderline which separated you from me.

You'll never know the hurt I suffered nor the pain I rise above,

And I'll never know the same about you, your holiness or your kind of love,

And it makes me feel so sorry.

Idiot wind, blowing through the buttons of our coats,

Blowing through the letters that we wrote.

Idiot wind, blowing through the dust upon our shelves,

    We're idiots, babe.

It's a wonder we can even feed ourselves.
