It seems to me that the only people whose deaths would compel Walt to purchase an assault rifle, change his identity - and stop showering evidently - are anyone in his family (including Hank of course) or Jesse. That's a pretty limited shortlist. The writers have shown they're lateral thinkers so whatever happens, we will NOT see it coming.

A friend of mine suggested that Gomez will end up finishing the case. I'm not so sure Hanks a goner anymore though.

  2. Yeah it's probably something to do with Bridget. It seems Ray is a bit more clued in than his brothers on whatever it is. I reckon Panch is correct in that Ray was going down the same road as his dad. Until Esra saw his "skills" (professional badass basically) and helped him frame Mickey.

  3. All I kept thinking throughout that episode was "Mickey loves ya!".

Yeah Mickey is too awesome a character to die. Sully is no doubt coming for Ray now.

I'm even more confused about the Colleen thing. Mickey didn't do it but Ray framed him to send him to prison for it. Not only that but he's protecting the guy who actually did do it (well not anymore heh). What the fuck did Mickey actually do then? The whole being a shitty father doesn't seem like enough because the brothers have all come around so he obviously pissed off Ray in particular.

  4. My issue here is not whizz bang and beautiful people. Most Star Trek fans prior to Abrams whoring up the franchise were contemplative introverted folk who enjoyed the moral and ethical themes. NOT lens flare and gratuitous phaser play.

It all comes down to what you liked about Trek to begin with. If you were in it for the space battles then Abrams films are for you. If like me and most Trekkies you were in it for the interesting ideas and exploration of concepts then they are not going to be your thing. Trek fandom aside I thought Into Darkness wasn't a very well written movie and that the pacing was terrible. The plot was lame and didn't make a whole lot of sense in anything claiming to be the ST universe.

Nick - First Contact was enjoyable. Generations and Insurrection weren't as bad as they're made out to be. Nemesis was truly awful. Skinny Tom Hardy was about the only good thing.

I'm with Jax. As soon as Hank said I love you to Marie on the phone I was sure he would be dead by the end of that episode. Could be the writers just fucking with us though. Jesse knew full well the Nazi gang would open fire so he's made his escape in the commotion.

As for deaths Gomez is dead for sure. I think we briefly glimpse him getting shot. Not sure if anyone else saw that. Hank maybe but seems too obvious. Jesse, no. He's made a run for it.

  6. I just noticed the Ray Donovan connection myself. I, too, thought it was made up video.

Logan, son. You need to get more comfortable with your musical sexuality. If there's one thing I'll never apologise for it's what I listen to. Ain't none of anyones damn business what I think sounds good.

  7. I remember groaning loudly when I first heard they were remaking Robocop because intantly knew which road they were going to go down. Murphy not remembering who is is fucking INTEGRAL to the story if you ask me. This project seems to be taking a lot of flak from the off. I really hope it's great but my educated guess is it will be a stinker. Best case scenario is it's an enjoyable action movie.

They just need to ring fence certain 80s and 90s sci-fi and rubber stamp the fuck out of them with "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMAKE". Getting real tired of Hollywoods crap.

You mention Colleen but I was under the impression Sean Walker shot Colleen. He must have killed some other girl which would make sense. It's quite odd how Mickey is so buddy buddy with a guy who was instrumental in his framing. Although he is a really well written character. You never quite know what's going on in his head.

Prediction is that he'll get the better of Sully purely because Mickey is just too much damn fun to die in season 1.

On a side note Rays lesbian desk jockey is kinda skinny but damn sexy in a strange sort of way.

  9. I'm all up to date now I think. Unless episode 10 has aired but I can't find it anywhere. What day does this air in the States? I heard something about labour day delaying TV shows but I don't know when labour day is.

Mickey shooting the FBI agent didn't make sense to me at first but then I thought maybe he really is trying to do right by Ray and all his kids. I'd still love to know why exactly Ray hates Mickey so much. It's been hinted at but I think there's more to it. Anyone care to shed any light on that?

Jesse has done bad things but its obvious he doesn't have the same ability to cope as Walt does. Walt justified every killing as protecting his family then protecting himself and finally protecting his empire. Jesse just throws a guilt-ridden shit fit, does lots of drugs and/or cries. Perhaps it's Walts calculating nature or the fact he's older and more jaded but he doesn't feel a damn shred of remorse while Jesse is only a hairs breadth from cranking up the My Chemical Romance and posting moody black and white close-ups on Tumblr.

Ergo Jesse is a shitty person but one who deep down wants to be decent. Walt is past giving a fuck. Even when being ruthless to protect his kids you can tell he takes pleasure in it on some level.

  11. Knew Hank and Jesse would end up in cahoots sooner or later. I'm totally rooting for them at this stage. Walt can go to hell. Skylar is becoming more "mob wife" with each episode too heh. My moneys on Hank getting what he needs and the Heisenbergs hightailing it into hiding.

  12. It had entertaining scenes but otherwise it just seemed to blunder half-blinded from all the lens flare from one set-piece to another. I also hate to be such a whiney fanboy but if you're going to make a Star Trek film you don't just wipe your arse with the canon so thoroughly. The first one found a nice balance between Trekkie-pleasing and accessibility but the sequel was just a shameless vanity project.

  13. Double post is double.

    Star Trek: Into Darkness

Does not stand up well on second viewing. Abrams is like the kid who instead of playing a board game by the rules, picks up the pieces and starts shouting "Pew pew! I totally just killed all your dudes HAHAHA"

Likewise with movies. Oh let's just forget about all that movie nonsense like storytelling, proper pacing or emotional resonance and just put in MORE LENS FLARE. Also instead of some character development... OH BIG SHIP EXPLOSION!

Yeah the house didn't look burned in the flash forward so I reckon there'll be a confrontation where Walt/Skylar stops him. This opens up Jesse to go straight to Hank too don't forget. His hatred of Walt surely outweighs his hatred of Hank at this stage. Perhaps Hank gets the evidence he needs and Walt needs to disappear. Skylar is totally irredeemably complicit in Hanks eyes so she will obviously need to disappear too.

Just so I have this straight in my head, Walt did poison Brock right? With the berries in his backyard that mimiced ricin poisoning without killing him? Sometimes this show is too subtle for its own good.

It sounds cold but I need a death in the next episode. Not even a death but something earth shattering needs to happen. I fucking love BBs occasional plot line bitch slaps.
