Waltz with Bashir

So, I just finished this unknown gem.. and much to yalls dismay, you'd much like it better if you did a quick brushup on the Lebanese war and read about this:

One of the few Israeli movies to make waves in the international scene, it has been highly controversial.

 

The movie is actually an animated documentary... most likely previously shot and animated over it with cell type animation. There's not much in terms of creativeness, but it is done well enough that it really doesn't lose the viewer's attention. I won't spoil too much, but it's good to see something like this and remember how history can be told in such a way as to keep you thinking about it even after it's over.

 

So it's a bit overrated from my point of view and not the type of movie i'd normally watch for fun... but I can see how the critics dug it. 8.5 outta 10.

Have this on the backburner at the moment but it looks really interesting! Prolly gonna watch it tomorrow after work.
