I see them trying to bite LFD, I remember how stale R2's co-op got and how it was completely unsupported and unexpanded following launch, and I have no hope.

Resistance 3 Dated For September 2011

Sony and Insomniac have just finished showing a rather nice gameplay trailer for Resistance 3 at the VGAs, and while it all looks rather lovely, the real news is an announcement of the game's release date.

 

So, here goes. Resistance 3 has been dated for September 6th, 2011, meaning you have just over nine months before heading into the 1950s to kill some more Chimera scum. Now you know.
