Lipala
I watched Valhalla rising with my wife tonight and I have to say I liked it. Its very much a Danish film and spends most of its time looking at people in silence. Its a very raw film, the few fight scenes are brief, bloody and awkward. In short, they're quite realistic. The film itself is a group of men simply being a group of men. No extra, over the top drama. No special effects aside from those that are side effects of the possible. The only oddity in the film is the visions that the main character has. Overall its a good movie and I recommend it. Disclaimer: If you don't like "artsy" films or can't stand seeing people on screen doing little to nothing plot related for long stretches, don't bother. Lorelei
Saw this at the cinema. Haven't seen such a brutal film done in such style. Reminded me of Aguirre, Wrath of God
