  1. I only saw two movies in the theater this year: Stars Wars (I saw this one alone) and the last of the Hunger Games films.

I really wanted to see The Big Short since I have read Michael's Lewis' books, but it didn't work out so I will catch it in a few months at home.

It's hard for Lissette and me to find a babysitter.

  2. It'll run - I've beaten it all the way through on the 360 before. Revisiting it, I was like, "Okay, fuck this." LOL - plus, I had a lot of games that hadn't seen the light of day in years. It'll run - totally playable.

Just make sure you SAVE. OFTEN.

EDIT: The right! I meant, stay to the right!!!

Thanks for the advice. I will remember to save often.

  3. I have a 360. We will see how it works out. Since I haven't played video games in years and even when I played the occasional one, it wasn't very often, so I will be patient. And if it ends up bugging me too much, it only cost me ten dollars on Ebay.

  4. I just bought a copy of this on ebay for my Xbox. I haven't played a video game in three or four years now. My Xbox has become a glorified DVD player for children's movies. I'm looking forward to playing this over my vacation coming up. I really enjoyed Fable 2 (a first person shooter RPG).

  5. I'm a sad to hear about Piper's death. Before I hit puberty (at which point I got into the world of Magic the Gathering and D&D with even cooler kids than WWF fans), I enjoyed watching wrestling and Roddy was entertaining.

The sad thing is that people that participate in wrestling (the fake kind) typically end up losing a significant portion of their life span. If you go through the list of wrestlers that died before 50, the list is long.

I'm not sure which is worse for a person's health, wrestling or football.

  6. I started watching this show this summer on Netflix. It has 4 seasons on Netflix, but was originally shown on AMC.

The show is one of the best cop shows I have watched in a long time. The writing is tight, the plot placing is great, the acting is perfect, the characters make you care, and it is very believable. In some ways it reminds of the Wire, but more suspenseful and without the ghetto.

It takes 2-3 episodes to get into, but once you do, it is an amazing show. If you are looking for something great to watch, give The Killing a try.

  7. Terminator is one of those franchises that I loved so much as a kid that I can forgive its mistakes (I've never seen the Sarah Conner out of continuity bullshit) much like Predator.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles was amazing. I'm a huge T2 fan (I saw it in the theater) and I loved it. The last two Terminator movies were terrible and I felt let down and a little angry. The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV show on the other hand was really good and I was depressed for months after it was cancelled. It's totally worth watching.

  8. Palm oil is semi-solid at room temperature which makes it ideal as a replacement for transfats in foods. Corn oil, peanut oil, and soy are liquid when at room temperature. Think about the filling for Oreo's for example. You can't make it using most other oils.

  9. The irony about banning transfats in NY city is that by slightly helping the arteries of people in the United States, we are destroying the lungs (and biodiversity) of the world. Companies did not want to lose the NYC market so they changed their recipes for their mass produced products to use palm oil (it has special properties which make it an ideal substitute) to comply with the transfat ban and now for example all Oreos use palm oil because of the Bloomberg ban. Dunkin Donuts is another good example of a company that switched it's entire product line over to palm oil to comply with the Bloomberg ban.

In Indonesia where much of the world's palm oil is grown, as consumption of palm oil skyrockets due to transfat bans, rainforest is torn down so that they can produce more palm oil.
