2. Is it a Vampire? If no, then it's a zombie. (and even I Am Legend establishes a grey area on that) And yes, Jason Voorehees and Frankenstein's monster are both zombies.

I don't know. I'd classify them as "other". After a while, Jason just became a corpse animated by his spirit for the purpose of vengeance/slaughter. Frankenstein's monster is just something else.

I'm not talking about Evil Dead. I'm talking about the definition for zombie movies you're seemingly throwing around.

Ok. So are there any zombie movies by that definition? It seems we should be telling all these people they're completely wrong about their movies.

You wanna go there? Fine. A "real" zombie? A "real" zombie is a living human that has had their will taken away by a Voodoo practitioner. Therefore, Resident Evil creatures are not zombies.

You are mistaking the "zombies" of the real world with the undead creatures of movies, t.v., and literature that are named after the creatures mentioned previously.

Zombies are based on science. Nothing else. EVEN voodoo zombies (see Serpent and the Rainbow). Evil Dead is all mystical supernatural shit. The "monsters" in that are possessed. If anything, Evil Dead and The Excorsist are more closely related.

On an only slightly related note, am I the only one who wishes they would've done an Addams Family Meets The Munsters special at one point. It's a hackneyed concept but can you imagine Fred Gwynne and John Aston playing off each other? It would have been amazing.

Agreed (maybe they're trying to go the Addams Family route? Most of them looked normalish; it was the behavior that set them apart) and agreed.

Still, some part of me delights at the idea of Eddie Izzard playing Grandpa.
