  1. A few more things...

Nick: Carl killing the twins is hard to describe. To me it wasn't a shock that he killed Shane back then to save Rick's life... it was a reaction. What makes killing Ben (the one that killed his twin Billy) much more shocking is that Carl premeditated it. He took initiative when everyone hesitated. Carl is probably going down a dark path himself but in a non-sucidal/ psycho way... just depression. Poor kid has nightmares about murdering Ben, which is good otherwise I would be much more worried about him going down the wrong dark path the way Ben had mutilating his own tiwn brother. The question is should we kill people that present a liabity or put others in danger...? As harsh as this sounds... i was on board with Rick and Abe back when they thought it necessary to put Ben down. The real issue is that no one wants to say or execute it because it somehow feels less human to do so. Granted the sitaution they are in, the world as they know it isn't going to operate as it used to. Do what is necessary to survive. Fuck what does it even to be human? Damn you Kirkman you've got me questioning my own humanity!!!!

Jax: It was funny! I didn't feel bad she died. She had to go. As insensitive as it sounds, she would have eventually slowed down the group, it was just too much to deal with. She just didn't want to be rejected anymore.

  2. damn you jay. -_-

    well, I'm all caught up.

So back on issue 50 it felt like Rick wasn't going to make it and his son would continue on surviving. Where does it end?!? Kirman really does an awesome job humanizing his characters. Every time I read an issue, I think to myself: "what would I do in this situation?" I don't think I would be the type to mutilate another human being, but fuck if I was put in a situation where death was the norm, maybe I would? It's fucking scary world they live in. The living are worse than the dead.

Can't wait to see how it panes out with this new community.

    My thoughts on some characters:

Rick: Completely jaded - but not insane. I don't think he's lost it. Remember godamit, dude's been through a horribly traumatic experience. You just can't expect a human being to be completely ok.

Carl: Same as rick and even more so heartbreaking because he is still a kid. But he's interesting because he's been dealt a situation where he's had to make a decision for the sake of either rick's life or the rest of the crew... Currently the kid is having a hard time transitioning from being out in the wilderness to being caged in a place where everything seems alright. issue 50 will always pull at my heart strings. You see carl sitting alone in the dark against the wall looking after a very ill rick, gun in hand in case rick comes back from the dead, and feeling so scared that he doesn't want to live alone without his dad - he'd rather just get eaten. Ah, sadness! I think Carl is the only person that keeps Rick from going insane.

Andrea: love this chick so much. fucking awesome strong female. Wonder if and when she actually hooks up with spencer (Douglas' son) if Douglas himself would go over the edge with jealousy and fuck shit up? He's recently widowed and he did come on to Andrea from the start...

Douglas: At first I didn't trust him and now, I'm starting to... but I'm like Rick - still got my guard up.

Abe: Smart dude, never let's his guard down. He's taken Tyresse role in what he does for Rick as far as muscle and clear headedness (is that even a word?).

Speaking of Tyresse - i totally hated the way he was killed off. And I loved that dude.

Michonne: crazy ass bitch - and i mean that in a good way. She fucked the Governor shit up! But yeah, who doesn't like a crazy bitch sometimes? I certainly do. Speaking of crazy bitches, Carol.

Carol: I loved that she offered herself to Rick and Lori! that was awesome. But I did feel sorry for her. Suicide is to be expected in that depressing situation.

Glenn: I heart him! he's a such good guy and I hope he never dies.

Dale: I got teary eyed at his death. He's been around since the beginning and has always helped Rick stay in check. I certainly felt bad for him when the twins were killed off, he really did grow to care about those kids.

On The prison arc - absolutely amazing. It was a defining moment in the series as far as character developments and shifting gears in directions, at least to me. I really thought they were going to win that battle against the Governor. Kirkman reminds you that in this situation, there is no safe spot. Speaking of the Governor, Michonne should have ended him. -_- But alas, if his threat did not happen, then maybe the original group would be fighting a heard of thousands infiltrating the prison. Looking forward to what's next - the suspense!

...and there you have it, my thoughts in segments.

  3. yeah, i just finished yesterday and i'm halfway through season 2 (much better than s1, like you guys said). and i have to say, you're totally right that the least interesting thing about the show is

sookie and bill. i've actually been catching myself having to go back because when they're together alone, i tend to stop paying attention and start thinking about chores i have to do or what not.

but jesus christ am i happy that they don't make sookie into a helpless fucking woman with no sense of self-preservation. i fucking HATE when shows/movies do that (human centipede, i'm looking at you)!

hahaha, yeah when you told me you loved

rene's character the best, i was like oh boy... dude's the serial killer who murdered Granny!!!

yeah, I agree Sooookie's not such a helpless woman, she's sassy and a bitch sometimes, which is awesome. Keep watching season is really fun stuff.

  4. There are also rumblings that apart from this new series, there may be a distinct mini-series. Many are hoping this would be used to address unanswered questions from the show, but that's just speculation. My hopes are for a mini-series on Iroh's life. Lord knows that could be interesting.

COOL! I second the notion toward an Iroh mini-series.

I wonder who would be the antagonists in the new show...?

  5. I love this game! from the side missions, voice acting, also how interactive the environment is towards the player (i.e. random people ask for you help that could end up killing you if you are not careful, hunting animals, catching a horse, etc.)

the game is just plain fun.

  6. For the nick.

    From here

The Wu-Tang Clan is one of the most successful and influential acts in the history of hip-hop. Over the years, member Robert Diggs, far better known as RZA (pronounced riz-za), found success outside hip-hop while still acting as a booster for the culture. He now holds credits as a music producer, rapper, screenwriter, actor and director, as well as author of his second book, The Tao of Wu. He recently sat down with NPR's Guy Raz.

Though still a young man at 40, RZA finds himself in a position to reflect on his success. When did he first want to become an artist?

"At a very young age, 9 years old, actually," he says. "And at first, it was just wanting to be rapping to be cool, or break-dancing to be cool, and expressing myself. But during the teenage years, DJ-ing and everything, and battling, it was more like some kind of lust or urge to become the world supreme master at a craft. And I would go around the city battling DJs. At the same time, I wanted to be the best MC, walking around, battling MCs who had the best lyrics."

But the ego-driven dreams didn't last long.

"As I grew older, and got into the late teens and early 20s, I wanted to be a voice of the people," RZA says. "You know, getting locked up all the time, and going through so much oppression and seeing it all around myself, I wanted to be a voice for it. And also to have a knowledge of myself, I realized that the word was powerful, and I could use this power to help enlighten others."

    Wu Wisdom

The new book is a series of seven lessons that RZA learned along his journey in life. He talks about his childhood in a two-bedroom apartment, sometimes shared with as many as 19 people. He says he had a tough life as a kid in the projects, but that he learned valuable lessons in the process.

"Well, beyond, 'Make sure you eat first...' " RZA says with a laugh. "No, I learned a lot from hardship. I guess the hardship and taking the goodness out of it."

Upon hearing "Triumph," an early hit for The Wu-Tang Clan, RZA still seems excited by music he helped create nearly two decades ago.

"Oh, man, this song right here takes me back ... to the good times of me and brothers running around the world performing in front of 30,000 kids with Rage Against the Machine, and getting a chance to spread out hip-hop culture and knowledge out there," he says. "Also, you hear some of the illest lyrics ever written."

  7. Oh man! Once I reinstate my account, you should start playing again so we can play together :D

Perhaps when I have a bit more money I will. I originally got into it because my best friend Liza started playing it and since she is moving away to canada I thought it would be a great way to hang out with her... (oh jeez... just thinking about her leaving makes me wanna cry. :D)

  8. hey guys. So I played WOW for a bit... character name Senshik - Undead Priest, LV13. YAY ME!

Unfortunately I didn't get into it.

If I do go back I will let you guys know. My character is under the Emerald's server... i think that was the name.

  10. hahaha.. well, my friend Robert has been a DBZ fan since I can remember. I used to like the show but only until the whole freeza arc, after that I was completely lost and uninterested. I was like, "what? Goku is what level saiyan?? and he has another kid? Wait, Fucking Vegeta has a son?!? He reproduced??? With who?!? Capsule chick!" That was the extent of my interest... but I always thought Trunks was cute tho...
