I'm somewhat glad Bucky will now be the official Cap. Steve as the leader for SA already makes the team a force to be reckoned with (like the new suit to). Sweet that Moon Knight made it in along with Beast, Valkyrie and War Machine.

Nova (AWESOME!) came out of nowhere, but now the Avengers have a cosmic connection again. Yeah he is overpowered, but way less so than that mistake called Sentry. Plus if he dosen't make it to the battle (ala Sentry) his excuse is better.

Example:

Sentry: "Super villain 136 says s/he can make me better." "I hear voices." "I had jello today." "It's Dark!" "Where am I?" Sentry's wife saying he can't help today because he's cowering under the covers.

Nova: Still trying to help fix that gigantic tare in space, rebuilding the Nova Corps, helping the Guardians of the Galaxy and Quasar fight The Magus, Maelstrom and Thanos and trying to keep the peace between the Kree and Shi'Ar.

- EarthWorm Jim will be based on the Sega Genesis version of the game, but is being reworked completely from scratch without the original game's code.

- The game will be enhanced from the original game, featuring better graphics, smoother animations and will feature several difficulty levels - something not in the original.

- The Special Edition, released on the Sega CD and PC, had an additional level called "Big Bruty". We can now confirm that the game will include this level. (FUCK YES!)

- The game will use leaderboards to track killed enemies, total time, and several other statistics.

- The graphics are "optimized for each platform", so WiiWare fans won't be losing anything but a bit of resolution.

- Gameloft are "considering" bringing Earthwom Jim to the PSP at a later date, but are currently working on numerous other PSP minis titles.

- Earthworm Jim will be released later this year, with a one-month exclusivity period for the Xbox Live Arcade version.

dude as soon as i saw this thread go up, that BC review was the first thing that popped into my head. Here it is in all of its cocksucking glory. It is ridiculous to love one game so much. AAAANNNNNDDD this came out the same month as Infamous, which isnt the best thing ever either, but is still a damn fine video game.

 

as for an actual opinion on reviews and such, I just try and take it with a grain of salt. I think they have more merit than, say, movie reviews, only because a game that is bad can be very noticeably bad. But things like Lair which alot of folks didnt like, I had a blast with, and others like the new Prince of Persia that critics fell in love with I couldnt enjoy because of the ridiculous level of challenge, which there was none of. in the end i try to rent first, and buy later.

I haven't touched a game review in almost six years and that BC review is an excellent example of why I do not. I know what I like and if I have doubts, I rent it. Only a handful of games I buy blindly simply because I'm a fan.

I think Smith is going to be a great Doctor. I will miss Tennet greatly (Alonsy~!), but I was pleasantly surprised with Smiths performance thus far. I also love his Patrick Troughton (2nd Doc) attire.

Great choice of Lord Blackwood as the main villain instead of Moriarty. Jude Law was a awesome Dr. Watson (more closer to the books than most other versions). Robert Downy Jr.'s portrayal of Holmes was refreshing while still remaining loyal to the books.

I knew that Wolfman flick would suck just from the previews. Friend of mine was hyped for it, saw it, came back and said "You were right. But it was WAY better than Werewolf" (Do not watch without your MST3K buddies or you could/will suffer from brain-cell death, blood in urine or a premature anal-evacuation due to irritation of the boules).

Besides, with the flicks mentioned by Iambaytor if you or I really want to watch a Werewolf movie, I just plug in one of those.
