FCAT testing this week = Movie week Taught rational functions for a little, showed the princess bride for the rest. I love that movie!

Yeah John Mayer won the best male performance grammy. Yeah like you care, but boy did he look good in that suit. Oh and Nora wiped the floor with everyone tonight. Tim tells me she won a total of 8 grammys. It was like the Nora jones show. Has anyone heard her music besides the one they keep playing over and over. I'm not saying she ain't good or anything, probably the most deserving out of the lot of them. But as a John advocate. This chick opened for him last year and ended up doing better than him. Oh the irony of it all. But I still love John. He will be mine one day. Enough of my ranting, back to planning for the little monkeys.

I think i'm just about goign to give up catching up on all the blargh comments I missed due to lack of time and sleep. Who said teaching would be easy. Progress reports due today, yet another frazzled kitten day.

see people shouldn't really listen to bullshit that other people dish out because in reality that is exactly what it is total B.S. I worry that sometimes we might take things too seriously and too personal. Physics is all about balance in nature and so is a whole bunch of other theories out there. Yet we don't really attempt to listen to them. Oh well the stress levels are always rising over here. Can't believe i gotta get up in 2 hours to go back to work, when i just finished planning now. so this job really is 24/7. when's our next vacation?

sleep, we don't need no stinking sleep. We're full time high school teachers, defenders of the mind. We are fearless and exhausted.

Ack! I think I'm going to need a vacation from my vacatioin. It's only friday and I've got mountains of work to grade. Ugh. this job just never ends.

I think i found a new favorite John Mayer song. "Covered in rain" Awesome guitar and really cool lyrics. I'm so glad I got the DVD now, but I couldn't get tickets to the concert in NY because I was working when they went on sale and they sold out in less than an hour. I thought the tickets were only for fan club member. Yes I am a member and damn proud of it too. Checked an auction for a pair and they're going for over 650 bucks! And they were originally just 20 bucks a pop. Ugh life is so unfair. And yeah I've got unmotivated fuckers for students. I have never met anyone satisfied with getting an "F" in anything. Well I guess anything is possible. more ranting later. I got a meeting to go to.

If you look in the guiness world book of records under "best reaction to winning an award" you would see a picture of my shocked face. What a great night.

I love my precalc kids. They turned in this big project for me today and they had a chance to be really artsy crafty like and lets just say. I'm definetely pleased. B)

Ack the weekend is winding down and I've yet to finish all my planning. Where does all the time go?

Well thanks to all for all the warm wishes with my chaotic 7th period. I spent my whole planning psyching myself up, readying my gameface. And lo and behold...the little fucker apologizes. What the hell I thought for sure it was another trick. But he finished his work and solved problems on the board. Hey there is intelligent life in my 7th period. How refreshing.

And for my seventh period from hell saga. I lost it! I can't believe I broke down in tears. Those little fuckers acutally got to me. Stupid little punks, yeah asshole best pass me that big mac. Enjoy your life you jerk.

When I accepted this job, I didn't realize that it was no regular 9-5. It's more like "Fu.." I have to survive, this 24/7 insomnia ridden job until things lighten up. I do hope things get better soon. I can't function on 5 hours of sleep a week.

So the Jury's back on my first day as a real teacher in Broward county. Here are some tips to help you start the day off on the right foot. 1. SHOW UP ON TIME! fuckin turnpike and old people in cadi's trying to be all cool and crap. I had absolutely nothing prepared. So first period. :shoot: BLAM! You're outta of here. 2. Whatever you do, DON'T forget to Breath. Felt so nauesous almost threw up on my students. 3. NEVER, I mean absolutely NEVER stay awake for 48 hours straight, no matter the circumstances. Damn I must be one stupid broad I swear I just graduated college. 4. If all else fails, Never PANIC! Well where was that advice about 7:10 this freaking morning? So jurymen and women, how say you to the charges of complete buffon and reckless endargement of 135 impressionable young minds? GUILTY!!! Wow first day of work on completely empty. No sleep does that to ya. I was on delayed reaction time all day. ....Hi, yeah I'm ms. chin and I'll be teaching math. Umm... excuse me who are you talking to? Oh.................I don't remember. Ugh...it's gotta be less hectic later on right? ???

I thought I got rid of this cold last week. Why do I always get all congested like right before I gotta go to work???

I think it's very ironic that I attended a time management class this morning, and i was completely swamped with crap latter. Ugh life...

You are all looking at a Full time Math teacher at Pembroke Pines Charter High School. I totally nailed my interview. They were so impressed with me that they brought in all the Assistant Principals and even the Principal herself. I start on Monday. Pheww...that was the fastest day in the history of me. Let's just hope I can actually teach. I know all about the theory and what not, but actual students are a completely different story.

A little nervous on this side of the border. Got my first real job interview for a real teaching career job in the morning. And yet I'm still awake. This can't be a good thing.
