The NZA Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I notoriously don't follow sports, but the NBA blew up so big when i was growing up, it was unavoidable. its presense was felt in every other neighborhood having hoops put in for kids, or competitions at parks. I thought it'd be fun to highlight some of the stuff from the pre-David Stern days of basketball. ^i had to. fuckin' classic. playlist with many more, jordan on blu-ray
APANCHALYPSE RETURNS Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Cool thread! Loving these throw backs (even though my phone is taking a shit now). I'll come back with some content of my own.
Benz Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Awesome clips of Bird! Love it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULvo7__wwBU Bill Russel: The winningest NBA player of all time. 11 rings. (Eat that Kobe.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfY6_wfqjxk
The NZA Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 benny couldn't go a whole NBA post without taking shots at the G.O.A.T., heh Bird is the kinda legend i still hear dudes talk about how bad they wish they couldve been around to watch him play live in his day. I always dug his rivalry with Magic Johnson: i was a fan of magic as a kid, Dr J was more my brother's generation really.
