Donatella
In today's "But why?" news, General Mills wants to launch a cinematic universe with their line of cereal monsters. You guys know those cereals that only come out in October, Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry? I've only had Count Chocula and it's amazing! But do we need movies or shows about these guys? Seems kinda ridiculous. Quote We know the idea of yet another “cinematic universe” sounds stale, especially after Universal’s Dark Universe left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. But we are ready to dig in on this latest endeavor, because it could be delicious. General Mills wants to launch all new stories with their cereal monster mascots, and it wants you to pitch them your best idea. “Work With the Monsters” is not a fan contest with a prize. General Mills is turning to Hollywood “calling all filmmakers, actors, agents, writers, producers, animators, tastemakers, dealmakers, movers and shakers” looking for creative partners with creative ways to help bring their iconic mascots to life across any and all mediums. Here's a bonus shot from the night @The NZA tried Count Chocula for the first time a couple years ago (with some JiffyPop and YooHoo no less). It's so damn good and also a shame we're actively boycotting General Mills, which is hard to do since they own EVERYTHING. But it's the Count I miss the most!!

Da Cap'n 2099
I'm fucking down for this. Why not!? Can't be worse than Tom Cruise's The Mummy/Universal Monster Universe. Make em animated and you're golden.
