the division of joy
Well i was banging on about it a week or two ago, the bbq sauce recepie i had for a BBQ sauce with JD in it, i can say it was a resounding success, but however its not my original recepie, i got it online, either way, im sharing the wealth. Jack Daniels, about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, or to taste 1/2 cup finely chopped onion {the stronger the better} 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 2 cups ketchup 1/3 cup vinegar 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 3/4 cup molasses 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 tablespoon salt 1/4 cup tomato puree 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or to taste PREPARATION: Combine onion, garlic and Jack Daniels in a 3 quart saucepan. Sauté until translucent, about 10 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer uncovered until reduced and thickened, about 15 to 25 minutes. Add more Jack Daniels if a stronger flavor is desired.

the division of joy
excuse me while i flyswat your forehead... But yeah, it was lovely, i added more J.D. than was mentioned in the recepie to give it more of a marinadey feel than a sauce. either way, the chicken wings i did were delicious, im planning on making a batch of it the next weekend i'm off and i'm not going to see cloverfield and drink one day of it and watch the superbowl and drink the other day of it and try it on ribs and see how that goes. Jont
I know the movie reference, but one of the ingredients in the recipe is liquid smoke. What the hell is that? I'm guessing that's a lubricant.
Reverend Jax
I figured you just had to thaw out a block of frozen smoke. Note to self: DoJ completely overlooks ingredients in recipes. Do not try his cooking.
