The NZA Posted June 27, 2018 Author Share Posted June 27, 2018 yeah, i guess sam & steel magnolas both had somewhat lumpy styles? i never really saw them as similar in my mind, i'd kinda grouped sam & bill sienkiewicz as being unafraid to draw popular characters as "ugly". aadil & i used to talk about that a lot, how keith's wolverine was aesthetically a lot more interesting than, say, jim lee's. i think i'm nearing the 2nd half of the book soon, and i recall it ups the surreality to really funky levels then...but man, even with the references, i just love what's here.
