Legit one of the best shows I've ever watched. PWB is incredible and so are the cast around her, especially Andrew Scott in Season 2.
I actually went to a live screening of the 1 woman theatre show she did of this also. Was hilarious.
I'm so jealous you saw her live! This was my introduction to her but I'm an instant fan!!

It's been on my list for a while. Like you, everyone I know that's seen it raves about it. There's only so many hours in a day though, but I'm definitely looking forward to watching it.
Good news is they are short episodes and short seasons! Six half-hour episodes per season so not much of a time commitment at all!

Has anyone else watched this show? After hearing from EVERYONE that it’s great and watching it win the Golden Globe for best tv comedy, I gave it a shot and ended up binging both seasons in like 2 nights. It’s phenomenal television. Funny. Heartbreaking. Brilliantly written and acted. There will not be a season three and I’m a fucking mess about it.
It’s about a woman dealing with loss and depression. She compensates with reckless sex and inappropriate humor. It’s a comedy but it’s dark. It lives up to the hype for sure. Also, Andrew Scott is on season 2 (Moriarty from Sherlock) and he is one of those actors who I would watch in literally anything. Ugh. So good. I’m going to miss this show!

What was your favorite live event (concert, sporting event, play, festival, convention, etc.) you attended in 2019?
It has to be my directorial stage debut earlier this year, when I directed two one act plays. It was a nerve wracking but exhilarating experience.
Favorite musical artist of 2019?
According to Spotify it was The Beatles. My favourite artist that I discovered in 2019 was My Morning Jacket.
What song did you hit “repeat” on the most in 2019?
Deadhead (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) by Devin Townsend. No hyperbole, it's the greatest live vocal I've ever heard.

Favorite hour long TV show you binge watched in 2019?
The greatest saga in tv history rumbles on, and I remain riveted.
Favorite half-hour long TV show you binge watched in 2019?
I know it didn't strictly stick to 30 minutes, but it was usually around the 30 mark. Such an amazing show, I binged all three seasons in five days.
Favorite hour long TV show you watched week to week in 2019?
I don't really do week to week anymore, but despite it's ending it would still have to be Game of Thrones. There were still some great moments interspersed with the crap.
Favorite half-hour long TV show you watched week to week in 2019?
I got nothing.
Favorite animated series of 2019?
I need to watch more cartoons.

Favorite action and/or sci-fi film of 2019?
Favorite drama and/or romance film of 2019?
Despite the over reliance on Taxi Driver and King of Comedy, it was still a beautifully shot, well acted movie.
Favorite video game of 2019?
Easiest question so far, it's knocked Skyrim off my all time number 1 spot. It had everything I look for in a game.
Favorite YouTube channel in 2019?
Joe Rogan
What’s your favorite/most used app on your smartphone in 2019?

Who is the one entertainer that died in 2019 you’d bring back? (There can be only one!)
Stan Lee, I suppose. I don't really get overly emotional when aged musicians die.
What was your 2019 like as depicted in emojis or a single .gif?
What entertainment experience (concert, film, TV show, game, etc.) are you most looking forward to in 2020?
With great anticipation comes great trepidation.
Abducted in Plain Sight was fucking MADNESS!!! If that had been a fictional movie, people would’ve said the writing was bad and that could never happen in real life! Blows my mind to this day.
Oh and Stan Lee died at the end of 2018 but still an excellent choice!

I have such a morbid curiosity about this movie after seeing the tweets and reviews. I have a couple friends who’ve seen it and had a blast with it but they definitely had a “so bad it’s good” feeling about it. I don’t think I wanna spend theater prices on it but I’ll definitely stream it!

"If Stranger Things copied Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters is copying Stranger Things, then Ghostbusters is just being Ghostbusters."
Has anyone ever said Stranger Things copied Ghostbusters? One is about kids in the Midwest battling huge monsters and one is older men in a big city fighting ghosts. Is this because they dressed like them in one episode for a nostalgia thing? I don’t get this at all.

Huh, you notice how all the people who didn't like the Ghostbusters remake because it "didn't feel like Ghostbusters" are weirdly silent about this trailer that looks or feels nothing like a Ghostbusters movie? Weird, it's almost like that wasn't their actual problem with the remake.

Yes! You nailed it! Before seeing it, I was really excited for what I thought would be a classic whodunnit. The moment it switched to a howdunnit, they lost me. They got me back, but not soon enough. I also agree about the cast size. Not sure who I’d trim...the Nazi son and liberal daughter maybe? Toni Collette’s character wasn’t essential but I just love her so! Hmmm...
-
We saw this one today. It had such potential. The cast is stellar and it was really funny. It starts and ends strongly but I hated the middle. I really found it hard to care about the story for like half an hour in the middle. It ended well enough for me to leave thinking positively of the movie but overall, I think it was a let down.
My friends who’ve seen it all loved it and it’s reviewing very well so I’d still say check it out. I’m curious to see if anyone else has issues with it.

Yeah I remember seeing that one review saying that this movie was the X-Men Franchise limping toward the finish line and that is so accurate. Is it just me or did literally everyone seem bored and completely phoning it in?

I just adore Lizzy Caplan! She is doing such an amazing job here, especially in those intense moments. I think she’s really channeling the character well. I’m not as into the other storylines but they’re not bad. They’re just not as interesting as hers! Can’t wait to catch up on this one. Hate waiting week to week!!

Holy shit New Yorkers pay a lot for food!! Those are the prices down here for a meal for two and I consider Miami pretty pricey!

... Are they not a very similar thing? I don't think we have kickball in Ireland.
Dodge ball is just two teams throwing balls at each other. Kickball is set up more like a baseball game, with bases you have to run around to earn points. Instead of hitting a ball with a bat, you’re kicking a ball that’s rolled at you. But they do throw the ball at you to get you “out,” so the five Ds might help there!

You'll be fine. Just remember the 5 D's. Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!
Haha! That’s dodgeball, though. I wouldn’t even attempt that.

I’d love to find an adult kickball league to get into. Or maybe even softball but I don’t think I’m good enough for that!

You forgot to mention that we dressed up like Wednesday and Pugsley for the premiere cuz we’re huge nerds!
I was very nervous about this because when studios slap a critics embargo on a movie, it’s usually because they don’t want early negative reviews to stop people from buying tickets. I was certain this was going to be awful but I HAD to see it because it’s my favorite franchise of all time. I was so worried they wouldn’t make the family dark enough, they wouldn’t highlight Gomez and Morticia’s beautifully unconventional marriage, they wouldn’t make Wednesday murderous enough.
But it didn’t let me down AT ALL. Not a perfect movie, but I honestly loved every second and didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to own this one!
Edited to add: If I ever get a chance to meet Oscar Isaac, I’d love to shake that man’s hand. He has impossibly huge shoes to fill, taking on Gomez after the incomparable Raúl Juliá. I couldn’t have imagined anyone doing that role justice. But he fucking NAILED. IT.

YES.
And it was a little boring. I was more excited about the pretzel nuggets I was eating than the entire first half of this movie. It ends a little stronger but they’d lost me by then.
