  1. I didn't see an entry for this amazing masterpiece of a game so I decided to create one. This game came out in 2012 I believe and the Remastered version came out in 2014. If no one knows about it its basically a survival horror action game taking place in a post-apocalyptic world using grounded gameplay mechanics. I won't spoil to much here but the game focuses on the relationship between the main character and the young girl he has to escort throughout the game. Its definitely one of kind in terms of narrative and survival gameplay. Although the game itself was quite extraordinary I started playing a new difficulty level introduced in the DLC called Grounded (which was included in the Remastered version) In the game there is a listening mode where you can see the silhouettes of your enemies through walls. Yeah...this is disabled. Your HUD is disabled as well. Enemies are much more sharper and way more alert. They also do triple damage meaning you die in 2 to 3 hits. Plus you're usually running around with 2-4 rounds and crafting supplies are slim to nothing. Basically what a real life post apocalyptic world would truly feel like. With no HUD you never know how close to death you are. You have to steathfully see where your enemies are and know when to fight and when to just sneak past enemies and you gotta make ALL your shots count. You'll rarely max out on crafting supplies as well so you'll definitely need to think about what you want to craft. It was HELLA fun for the more real hardcore experience. One strategy you learn to take advantage of is the power of using bricks and bottles to throw as distractions or at enemies to stun them. The downside is that you can only carry one so you really hope there's some lying around the environment. I've enjoyed the experience and thought I'd share some of my exploits. Its really fun for the hardcore player.
  2. Oh and don't forget to see the movie Rebellion where it really goes out of whack.
  3. I saw this series after reading about Kill La Kill. (The whole magical girl theme) Its probably the most thought provoking series since Evangelion imo. For some reason I thought Evangelion story was much more convoluted and out of whack. For anyone interested in this different take on the Magical Girl Genre they have to get past episode 3 where the real story picks up. Since it does start off a bit squeamish with a lot of lovy dovy and girly-like kawaii(cutesy) stuff. But by the end of episode 3....not so much...
  4. You guys mean Gotham Knight. I actually liked both Animatrix and Gotham Knight. (Plus I own them both) This shit looks badass. If there's any Final Fantasy fans out there Joker here looks like Kefka from FInal Fatasy 6. I mean they're pretty much just as maniacal and nihilistic as each other as well. I think it would be awesome to see more western and Asian animation mashups. This also reminded of a DC short with Batman. If the Chinese Communist Party wasn't so retarded we might've seen cool shit like this. But the cultural revolution saw the end to that. Any cool animation that comes from China is most likely considered illegal.
  5. If I do I'll put it in the culture section. Looks like a new trailer came out for Black Mirror.....Parenting or Control? (Kinda like China with Hong Kong)
  6. A bit late to this party but i did watch this series no too long ago. Intresting tidbit I might post a separate topic on this but in china they actually have a prototype system thats quite similiar to the one uaed in nosedive. Google social credit system in china if you wanna kno more. Oh and is it just me or did the redhead look so much hotter smudged and dirtied up then when she tries to "look pretty"? I cant tell if I'm into that sort of thing or i just enjoy the raw down to earth attitude or both.
  7. Seems like mixed bag here. Video game movies have a bad reputation of spewing out shit. I wanna say it could be good with right people in place. But the movie will most likely take away the quirky convoluted nonsense mgs is known for. For better or worse But i fucking loved this game series. When i played mgs3 every "video" where he aplies first aid on himself was litterally st8 out of my real life training. Mgs3 and peacewalker was my fav. I also met a British Marine while co oping peacewalker. I like mgs5 but i wish u could co op that game the same way u can with peacewalker
