  1. I can't remember how long... I guess a while, because the fascination has always been there. I never drew them, but I take pictures of them all the time. I posted one in the art thread

I know, remember I commented on it and posted the cool one I found.

  2. 303. you call a friend that owns any FF game and ask them if they want to start a game together and play it while on the phone only so you can read different character lines

You know I did something similar once. I was on the phone with my friend Ronald, and both of us were playing through the last part of Secret of Mana, just to see who could beat the game faster. The S-O-B beat me by a mere 30 seconds!

Oh and I saw it again recently--the real-life replica of Squall's gunblade from FF8. For those of you in the South Florida area, there's a store at Dolphin Mall called the Dolphin Jewelry Exchange. There's a section towards the back of the store where you can buy replicas of weapons from various movies and books (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc). It is there where you can buy the Gunblade replica. I asked the lady about it and she told me that someone requested it to be custom-made, however they decided to cancel the order at the last minute.

Oh and get this, the Gunblade isn't the only FF-themed weapon replica they have! They also had a replica of Cloud's Buster Sword from FF7, and Paine's sword from FFX-2.

  3. 128 players online, that boggles the mind!

Well on the upside, you can have real-time NASCAR games with all 43 cars being controlled by real people, that should be interesting.

Or you can have an NFL or an NBA game where each player on each team is controlled by one person online. Talk about teamwork!

There's so many possibilities for all sorts of games that can be played online like that.

  4. the wii seems interesting it truly does but never the less i would like to consolidate my systems into one i would like to play some of my childhood favorites from nintendo on the system that they should have evolved into

They should have ROM-downloading and/or installing capabilities to their system, then we can simply download our old-time favorite games from yesteryear to play them. Or they should make more compilation games with all the old favorites like there are some on PS2 for old Atari games.

aside from that i do worry about the pricing of video game systems it isn’t logical it isn’t even smart the $600.oo price tag that the ps3 has just won’t last and i suspect/hope that they take a heavy hit for attempting to do us the consumer wrong when the president of sony entertainment spews out nonsense like “i want people to work more just to buy our new system” then i think its time that they/he are/is humbled the price has already dropped in japan by $100.oo since its release and all signs point to an even more dramatic fall to come

I give it less than a year, then you will see prices drop to half the amount when Sony sees sales are sluggish.

in addition the monopoly that would be created by a two system market would only be as strong or as expansive as the consumer allows it to be although i have out grown my atari i’m still having plenty of fun with my nintendo and personally i’m not going to buy any system over $200.oo dollars this year because i have plenty of old games to play still

I agree. Anything more than $200 for any game console is too much money, no matter what kind of system it is!

my advise for anyone that would care to listen would be to got out a little while from now after you finish reading my advise and buy $100.oo worth of used games for the ps2 if you’re a wise consumer and you look for the buy two get one free deals as well as the $10.00 bin you should make it out with at least ten solid games these games should be more than enough to wait out the first year’s price drop or you know what take that $100.oo and buy a lot of books i recommend looking into the classics like narnia through the looking glass lord of the rings sir giles of ham or there are the instant classics like the harry potters and the tales of unfortunate events or you can even send me some money as an advanced sale for the book i’m putting together for 2011 and there is always the Bible which is also a great book that will give you days and months worth of entertainment as and if you read carefully maybe you’ll walk away enlightened.

True, you need to set the controller down and walk away at least once in a while. I notice I don't play video games nowadays as often as I used to, nor do I fight over what system to get the minute it gets out like I used to.
