  1. I actually first saw this game when someone I knew imported it, or DLed a japanese copy. Played it, lot's of fun I really should get back into it, it's just so damn twisted, it's great. The Japanese do still have the pure fucking randomess angle nailed when it comes to games.

  2. Don't know if Shenmue 2 ever got an OST, though I know that the Shenmue Dojo is supposed to have every pice of music from the game, so that is a plus.

I'd add in for the requests some of the lesser known Lunar releases, they were half drama CD but the other half had some great music that wasn't on any other CDs.

  3. Can't believe I missed this post, hell yes set that shit up again. It was awesome!!! I have a bunch of Ys CDs I could upload to it too.

Also for those who want to try out some Ys music considering the serious lack of popularity that that series has had over here check out:The Legacy of Ys they have a shitload of the soundtracks up there to dl, and a bunch of them are amazing, I would reccomend Symphony Ys, The Perfect Collections, and well, most of it. Symphony Ys 95 is the one that is probably closest to standard FF sound, but badass, the others tend to go for really badass synth-rock.

  4. I could probably use it also as my old copy is on a PC that is dead as dirt right now. Not to mention I htink I only made it it volume like 27.

BTW, anyone who can afford to keep up with the actual Dark Horse manga release, because shit like this deserves to be supported in the US, too often we get generic Shonen or SHojo titles and very rarely to we get stuff as good as Berserk.

  5. Three issue run, trade comes out in January, has been selling like mad, the first issue alone is up to its third printing. Third issue just came out. The story is supposed to bridge the TV series and the movie. As I said pretty good stuff, I own issues 2 and 3, (1 is a bitch to find) and dled it from Zcultfm.

  6. Yeah the dubs pretty much blew, but the Xbox version wasn't too bad either, less loading some cool filters and no disc swapping for the win, or tie I guess.

Still the Euro version did rock my socks, that scene with Shenhua, damn friggen awesome. Still Cowboy, I could've sworn we needed an adapter to play that game when you lent it a while back. Meh, whatever.

Also you guys may want to check this out:

    Funny shenmue movie

  7. Bebop is a great series, I love it to death but I did always feel that it suffered from Multiple personalities. I just felt that the main story arc of the show was just so damn friggen dark that things like Ed and stuff just didn't gel with where the series went. It's like there is a happy go lucky-ish adventure series sandwiched between a very dark John Woo Hong Kong action flick. Still has to be watched by anyone who is an anime fan.

  8. When yer midters are done, watch, you will enjoy. I mean come on, if Jacks and I can agree on something it has to be good, or possibly the spawn of the devil, one of the two.

As for lines, me and gunsmith tend to use the special hell a whole lot.

  9. Story from Gamespot:

TOKYO--Sega today announced that it is making a new action adventure game, titled Ryu ga Gotoku, for the PlayStation 2. The game was originally in development under the code name of Project J and is now being produced by Toshihiro Nagoshi (Super Monkey Ball, F-Zero GX). The game is slated for release this winter in Japan for 6,800 yen ($62).

In Ryu ga Gotoku, the player assumes the role of Kazuma Kiryu, a legendary yakuza who was once known as the "Dragon of Doujima" for his unmatchable strength. The game takes place in a downtown entertainment district of Kamurochou in Japan, which Kiryu left 10 years ago after slaying his boss to protect his best friend and the woman he loved. His old cohorts didn't forget his betrayal, so they waited for his return to exact their revenge.

Adding to the mess, Kiryu gets involved in a series of unexplainable incidents and encounters a girl named Haruka, who holds the key to a missing fortune. From there, Kiryu pledges to fight for the sake of Haruka's future and to confront the past he's been avoiding.

The player will talk to the city's citizens, fight thugs, and collect information. There will be several side-story quests where the player can help out the people of Kamurochou by taking on jobs or lending a hand to someone in need of help. Completing the quests will reward the player with items, money, experience points, and valuable information. With money, the player can shop in the numerous stores located throughout Kamurochou to purchase items, have a meal to recover energy, and play games in an amusement area.

Of course, the game isn't just about shopping. On the combat side, Kiryu can punch, kick, and grapple, but he can also equip various objects on the ground and use them as weapons. With enough victories in battle, Kiryu can level up, thereby increasing his life meter and allowing him to learn new moves.

Sega says that Ryu no Gotoku is targeted toward more-mature audiences. Ryu no Gotoku's storyline has been supervised by award-winning novelist Hase Seishu, who's best known for Fuyajou and other novels that take place in the underground society. The heavy drama is aided by voice acting from a number of famous celebrities in Japan. Lending their voices to the game are seasoned actor Tetsuya Watari, actress Junko Mihara, DJ Kei Grant, and martial artist Yoshiaki Fujiwara.

Sega says that it aims to make Ryu no Gotoku's depiction of a Japanese entertainment district as realistic as possible. To make the city as lifelike as possible, Ryu no Gotoku will feature the likenesses of real stores and actual product billboards throughout its city. Among the companies signed up to be featured in the game are retailer Don Quiote and whiskey manufacturer Suntory.

  10. I'm also hearing Yu Suzuki is involved with this game, I'm gonna see if I can find more info.

I'm still hoping for a traditional Phantasy Star though. I hope Universe's single player is better than PSOs.

It's wierd with sega, because they never stopped, making stuff, it just fell under the radar. Still we even have stuff from SEGA USA that is looking very good, Condemned (an upcoming game for the 360) also looks like it could be very interesting, combinging the feel of Se7en with detecteve work and an interesting looking combat systems could make it a sleeper.

  11. That's odd as they were working earlier in the day. Strange. Nope don't think I ever heard of that movie. Any good?

Looks like Sega is really getting on the ball again though, a major forced to be reckoned with? I reall hope so.

  12. Ah, tough as hell to follow up on a lot of these but here goes.

OK, first need some more hot goth chicks in this forum so here are a bunch of random ones:

Oh yeah some oth these have nudity :muggin:

  13. I was hearing that the import of this one was the way to go as it had Streets of Rage 1-3 in it as well as the original soundtack for Sonic CD. The original soundtack was just so much better than what we got in the american release. Leaps and bounds. I hear they had copyright issues for the gems collection so they ditched it. SOR got cut because they wouldn't have been able to get the game rated at E. That just blows.

  14. New game announced for the PS2, looking prettu damn cool, and seems to be rather Shenmue like. We love you SEGA

  15. Golbez bitchez. Not only does he have the total Darth Vader thing going on every single time the party comes up against him he beats their fucking asses. True Zeromus KOed him, but that was w/o the dark crystal IIRC, and because he was all nice and good at that point. That and looking out for a decreput old man just holds you back.

  16. Yeah, can't wait for this, I just hope everything goes well.

Shenmue does have an absolutely amazing soundtrack, and well, I think I'm going to go wank to this news again.
