    Yes but he was on a fighter jet in the theatrical version, not on his little red cropduster like in the original cut version.

    Yeah, he's acting all drunk and alien abduction crazy so they deny him the right to fly in the resistance and he disappears on his kids who go looking for him in the main control room, then when the president says he's out of nukes out of nowhere he comes in his crop duster with a nuke attached to it and the rest of the film is the same except with the red crop duster in it. This is all in the end scene near Las Vegas, there's a whole deleted scene showing it.

    I have the super special edition DVD where you can watch the entire uncut film with that ending instead of the new one. It's really something.

    I was watching random movie trailers on youtube and that was amongst them, since it said 2009 and I hadn't heard anything about it, I figured I would pass it over here and see if anyone had heard of it or if I have just been under a rock... Trailer doesn't look fake... if it is, they put a lot of effort into it.
