Newtype
Killzone 3 is coming to the PlayStation 3 in dazzling 3D, an exciting revelation made doubly official by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and a trio of new screens that show off the game's frosty jetpack-filled action. That icy arctic fun won't be the only environment Killzone 3 players find themselves in, as the official confirmation promises that we'll "trudge through toxic nuclear wastelands, get lost in a lethal alien jungle, fight in bitter arctic conditions and take the battle into space." Sony's pitching Guerrilla Games' next PS3 game as a David versus Goliath battle, with the caveat "if Goliath had thousands of troops and a thermonuclear arsenal." Imagine the following shots of Killzone 3 in stereoscopic 3D as you wait and wait for the next chapter. Also: The first details on Guerrilla Games’ hotly anticipated Killzone 3 have assaulted the web overnight courtesy of North America publication GamePro, confirming – among other things – that Uncharted creator Naughty Dog is involved in the development of the sequel. The NZA
nice. didnt play 2 online much, but i thought single player delivered. prolly a smart title to break out the 3D option for, given the firmware & TV push long before its release date. also, naughty dog assist is likely nothing but good. The NZA
when newt gleefully put one of those pics in the shoutbox, that was your immediate reply. as a staunch anti-sony fanboy, i assumed you were calling these bullshots, as was tradition with KZ2. no? Jables
Sadly, I am no Rayray and am mostly unaware of Internet traditions. Now excuse me while I go watch this mesmerising dancing baby And for the record, for the record. I'm not anti-Sony at all. I made a clear transition into the field of one who likes watching Blu Rays and occasionally playing some LBP or Uncharted 2. So DERP.
Newtype
Sony has revealed the Killzone 3: Helghast Edition, packed with all sorts of stuff that any fan of orange-eyed space fascists will love. And all for $129.99 too. Yikes! The centerpiece is the rather nifty Helghast helmet replica which opens up to reveal an art book, a Super Voucher and a copy of the game. You also get a 6.5" action figure of a semi-cloaked Helghast marksman, which comes fully articulated and will not be sold at retail. The Super Voucher contains yet more fun, with codes to download the game's soundtrack, a Dynamic Theme, the Retro Map Pack with two Killzone 2 maps and Double XP with full access to all weapons and abilities for the first 24 hours of multiplayer. crimsonfire
The trailer looks pretty amazing. I always loved Killzones cinematics. I really need to get the finger out and complete KZ2 though.
