The NZA Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Comichron/ICv2. apparently this is sales to consumers & not just Diamond stuff, so yeah, good news for the industry right here! Quote
Visitant Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Yeah there's a lot of fresh cash coming into the industry. I thought I read somewhere that Green Arrow is basically killing it over at DC. I haven't read any of the new run stuff, but I guess the show did some great things for that title. Quote
Mr. Hakujin Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I'm guessing these numbers include manga sales and not just your standard American titles (DC, Image, Marvel, etc.) Also, it makes sense graphic novels are making more money because the value is there vs monthly single issues. However, I'm surprised the gap isn't further considering how much monthly issues cost now. But this is misleading in terms of readership vs 1993 though, isn't it? Comics cost $1.50 in 1993 and they average $4 in 2016. Quote
