The three(moreso Cap'n Spaulding, according to so many tattoo'd shins and biceps) have teetered on the edge of Horror icon status for a while. The third movie(whether it was always planned or is a cash in) is a logical progression from Hype and Spectacle(1000 corpses) to behind the scenes and legitimately humanising in parts(Devil's Rejects). As it seems clear that this is their ascent to Jason/Myer/Freddie level immortality, and I've gotten invested enough to watch two origin movies, keen.
