  1. This was a kick ass episode! I was worried there for awhile, the magic seemed kinda gone... I love the idea of the two sides, good v. bad, it's so classic

It's getting back to what I liked in the beginning, I'm pleased.

    Still no Noah, though...

  2. It's crazy you posted this a day after I went on like an 8 hour watching spree after downloading this show. I'm really liking it so far, I was a Buffy fan so it's not hard to get used to the vamp thing. It's not anything to be taken too seriously, I think... I feel like the producers just said something along the lines of "R rated sexy vampire hoodoo" and the writers came up with this. I love the idea of the vampires having their own system of law apart from the humans, and how thats gonna develop with them having come out in society. I haven't watched this last episode yet, but I will tonight :-D

P.S. Maybe I'm just a fangbanger but Stephen Moyer is the sexiest vampire ever!

  3. Basically Norton had a lot of input on The Hulk and they gave him the big fuck you at every turn. I think every single scene he wrote is a deleted scene on the DVD. Also he just fought a lot with them on how the character should be played (honestly they should just be happy that he didn't insist they change his name to David)

Also he has not been contacted by Marvel pictures to reprise his role at this time.

Also, Terrence Howard's deal with War Machine. He actually found out about that as opposed to actually doing it, there was no consultation or talks they just ripped up his contract and said, "Fuck you Terrence Howard, we're gonna get an even blacker actor who has been in even more Oscar bait!" Unfortunately Jamie Foxx was busy being stuck up his own ass, so they gave Don Cheadle a call.

Not all the stuff of his is deleted. From what I understand, the Mr. Blue, Mr. Green stuff was his, as was him finding that serum from the flower in Brazil. But yeah, if you've seen the deleted scenes, theres a good 20 minutes of stuff with Bruce and Betty, character development things, that was all him. I can understand a bit why they wanted to cut it, while it's really good quality stuff and adds a lot to the character, it would have been slower and they wanted to keep it as fast moving as possible. Again, just from what I understand from reading up on it, Leterrier and Norton wanted a cut that was like 15 minutes longer, and that's where most of the dispute came in. All the stuff about him not getting writers credit, that came from the WGA, not from Marvel. From all that I've read and heard though, it wasn't as big a deal as the press made it out to be. I hadn't heard anything about them fighting over how the character should be played, I thought all the dispute was during editing...

  5. Brea Grant is super cute!mainbw.jpgbreagrant.jpgmax-payne-red-carpet-LA2.jpgThere are really few pictures of her on the net...

They're fun to blow rasberries in but sexually they're not real useful.
Well I mean... in certain sexual scenarios they could be useful :-P But just to look at, I just think it's really odd proportionally....

And as far as Mr. Petrelli taking Peter's powers... he's changing the genetic code, right? I mean, that's what it all hinges on... he's the cure Mohinder is looking for, which is really neat.

I don't think Peter's powers are gonna be gone forever, I think this is a repeat of Ando dying last episode... they're gonna do that thing with cliffhangers that Kathy Bates gets so upset about in Misery... "HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCK-A-DOODIE CAR!"

And this episode needed way more Noah

  8. I'm not surprised the theatrical release was cut back either, but I would be surprised if they didn't try to cash in on an extended cut for the home video market, especially after the stories about Edward Norton being upset about the cuts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but director's cuts and such are good business, no?

Yeah, director's cuts can be moneymakers when there actually is a director's cut. But Leterrier didn't have an alternate cut, he liked the version that went to theaters, he had no desire to make a longer version according to that interview I saw. I may be wrong, but I think the version that was so much longer and that Norton had problems with was never meant to be the final cut, it was just a screening during the editing process. People shell out the money for director's cuts for movies like Brazil when the director wanted a different version of the movie released, and the studio fucked with it.

    Ah, found it!

Around 3:50 he starts talking about it...

  9. I'm pretty sure in an interview, Leterrier said that there was gonna be no extended cut of the movie, that he was proud of the version that went to theaters and wouldn't have released it if he thought it needed to be improved. So I'm pretty sure it's just the theatrical release on the DVD

  10. Anybody else feel it was retarded that the commercials were all "ZOMG the Petrelli Patriarch," and then the show obscured it until the last minute as a big reveal?

*shrugs* Worked for me... I never saw any commercials, since I don't watch too much tv, and I watched the episode on Hulu earlier today and was surprised. But that is a pretty dumb idea...
