  12. Ann Coulter: spin, spin sugar this is what you get when you take the ability of women to turn around an argument on you (i think its the double x chromosome, personally) and put that into a pundit. Lookit that more closely; its like youre being told voting on social issues was "selfiish", and those republicans voted from their heart, god bless 'em! No, i dont like her much, but from a semantic point of view, that was impressive, nice on Ann.
  13. This is my personal favorite out of Image right now, even with Rising Stars back on track....sure, b-rated zombie tales are all over cinema, and even video games, but comics havent seen them as much since pulp, much less the survival part of the tale, something Kirkman is shining for in this great series. Id like to prattle on & on bout this one, but last time this thread existed, Image's taglines and artwork hyped it much better, and got Junkerseed to read the series, so here's s'more of that: From issue # 1: If you dig zombies, good plot & action, survival tales, post-apocalyptic stuff, any of it, you owe it to yourself to check out this fine series; im gonna try to grab the trades, which are over at Amazon for $9 each (2nd one, "Miles Behind Us" is due out soon).
  14. Robert Kirkman is an up & coming writer for Image comics who's recently taken on some big Marvel projects; he did all the recent 2099 one-shots, if im not mistaken, and he's follwoing Bendis' run on Ultiamte Marvel Team-Up. I'm doing this, and another thread, on his finest image work ive come across, as this writer deserves more attention. Invincible - without outright spoiling it, you should know the book has really made some moves in its first year of publication. Initially, this book was very much like Ultimate Spider-Man: a coming-of-age tale of a boy realizing his superpowers, all while living the life of an american highschooler. However, young Mark is the equivalent of Superman's son, and also feels a responsibility to protect his home city. I debated putting this out there before, but its a given in the series now, and it just might be the bit that gets others interested: [bIG FREAKIN SPOILER WARNINGS] About six issues in, the world's Justice League is brutally murdered, and the killer is revealed to be Omin-Man, mark's father (!) The book then gets into the history of his pseudo-Kryptonian warrior/colonizing race, and where Omin-Man's true agenda lies. Mark must then decide who he owes loyalty to: the planet on which he was raised & made friends, or his home...?[/spoilers] I throw the plot out there to show how a great writer like Kirkman can balance lighthearted teen stuff with some more epic plotlines such as this father vs son one. However, nothing sells like a demo, so here's a few pages from issue # 5: ..interested? The first trade is here at Amazon for $9.70, and if you wanna see more previews, here's issues here's Image's page where you can check out 6-9.
  15. Cant argue, as i dont recall what happend past that badass final fight scene. Ill have spoiler tags up hopefully soon so you can remind me. Guess it couldtve been too memorable, eh?

  17. Aw, dont act like you didnt like it...this last Zelda was great. Im happy the next one's gonna be all realistic-like, but the cel-shading really worked here, this was a great game.
