Tussin got off easy at 4 hours. I can tell you that it's a legal precuation to not further your possibly injured cervical spine, but that doesnt mean shit when youre tied down & afraid. At least i know what the patients feel like, now.

Today, though i wont be there, there will be at least 2 patients at baptist, after a large MVA (motor vehicle accident) who endure hours of needless catscans & MRIs, spending thousands of dollars they dont have, because the hospital and its radiologists are scared shitless of lawsuits. Some walk way unscathed. Some will not walk away at all. All of them will lay uncomfortably on a stretcher, their neck held in a postiion that makes it heard to breathe, just wanting to get up & move. Theyll yell, cuss, cry, all of the above, for having faced their own mortality, however close. For a few minutes, before the combination of salene and oxegyn take over, theyll reflect on their lives, and question the speed at which they move...are they just going through the motions? Theyll lay there, and think about how it wasnt worth it, trying to make that turn when the light was past red, or cutting that guy off, or neglecting their tires, or any of it. But the common demoniator between all of them, for today, and the day after that? Theyll lay there thinking they wish theydve stayed the fuck home today.

Im eggin you on here cause i honeslty think having hm kneel before any religious symbol is far, far worse than peeing on some car logo, as i could see him watering things, but he often had thought his views on god through more than most people ive met, that just really bothered me, seein that.
