It's a really fun movie, just fun enough to be enjoyable despite glaring, eye-roll inducing, contrived plot points. I think it was helped by a likeable cast- Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer (who looked so familiar and I'm JUST NOW realizing was in Stephen King's It). They're both really charismatic and easily carry a simple origin story. Was hard to take the villain seriously because he looked like an evil Stanley Tucci, but even still, it was a fun/funny ride and worth seeing in theaters.
