did anyone else see this?  it was a really nuanced take on namor, they really made him work here without shedding much of his arrogance/character

 

this really was what i'd heard: not exactly the usual MCU film, dealing a lot more grief/trauma.  really wasn't sure how they'd handle this without chadwick, but this was so much better than i'd expected

 

also m'baku calling okoye a bald headed demon was fantastic

It was interesting to see a new spin in this series and I'm glad I didn't know any background about the villian.  You could feel his anger and pain, I wish they gave him more time.  The actor did great and the character's strategy is always adapting.  But there is such a fine line from how to handle diplomacy and he seems to enjoy evil in the name of his people.  I felt he is more interesting than most of the marvel villains and it would be interesting to see a plot twist with him
