  1. Also big Kudos for the Hunter S Thompson episode...my husband who is a huge HST fan didn't get who he was supposed to be until i did. But yeah, they put a lot of celebrities likness into their charecters, but it's done in such a manner to where you can't tell if they are making fun of them, or just giving nods to where their inspration comes from. i could go on and on and on about how much this show rocks...but seriously, you MUST check it out if you haven't already. http://www.ventureindustries.org/
  2. indeed. The best ever was the David bowie/Iggy episodes. i really wish they came out with some merchendise for the venture bros. Also look up Doc Hammer (Soulbot) on myspace.
  3. you look all serious in that picture. cute. but serious.

  4. "USDA Certified" i used to have the put the stupid stickers on. As with anything, moderation is key. Fresh fruits and veggies are always better than canned and cut the extra fat off your meat before you cook it. I don't buy organic becuase i know better. I do grow my own chives, basil and rosemary though... you couldn't pay me to buy that crap.
  5. I used to work for a company that packaged and sold herbs (like basil etc. not the other kind). They also sold organic herbs. The only thing was... that the herbs weren't organic. they just stuck an extra sticker on the package and sold it for a higher price. Rule of thumb is... if you want organic veggies grow them yourself. Same with meat. Unless you know the person raising your meat you can't be sure it's organic. Oh, and almost every type of food that your 'organic' stock is going to eat is not going to be organic itself. They even treat hay to make it last longer out in the fields now. Anything you buy out of a store has probably been treated by a chemical in some form or another, wether by shipping or by the store (company) itself. Organic food, for the most part doesn't really exisit. It's all a part of the matrix... uhhh no wait that wasn't right, it's just a gimmik to get you to spend more to eat the same crap as the people who buy the less fancy packaging.
  6. jeez... i typed JC not TC. I can't even say my finger slipped and that the t is close to the j. i suck. i'll just take my ball and go home now... I'd love to se an Aresface bust.
  7. I do realize everything that's going on behind the scenes...or at least as much as anyone else with an internet connection does. Oh, i went ahead and read the thread as well. I am remaining optimistic, at this time. I can't help but feel that nothing will ever compare to the books though. It's going to suck becuase it won't fallow the story-line to the last letter. it's going to kick ass becuase they are least going to try. like i said... at the very least we'll see some merchandise, and I could live with that right now.
  8. okay. I'll not lie. I didn't even read this thread. I heard about all this crap and was like 'cool'. I didn't read the thread becuase i didn't want anyone to sway my response. Not becuase you smell like poo. but. it's going to suck. WAIT!!! don't write me off just yet. i am no simpleton nay-sayer. Let me tell you why. Comic spoilers they ain't gonna be there. Those stupid little parts (and there are just way to many to mention) are what make Preacher what it is. It's what comic book writers DREAM of doing originally, but they just can't becuase Garth already went there. They may put a few of 'em in here and there, or tease around the subjects a bit, but it's not going to be the same. We all clamor and deamand something we won't have unless we pick the damn books up (or individual comics up) and read them again. it's going to fucking kick ass! Or at least I hope so. no... I'm not crazy. I'm just being realistic. It's going to be awesome. Awesome to see it get some recognition from more mainstream places like HBO! WE MAY EVEN SEE BUSTS!!!! and other statues... admit it. Mild Comic spoilers you know you do!!!! peace out fellow fanfolk, (my uber dorknes just went off the charts with that last line...) -Dr.Girlfriend.
  9. I love this show. I got it a few days ago on DVD for my son, who just turned 4. now mind you, back when the show first came out, I refused to even watch it. I mean c'mon. How could i possibly enjoy something geared towards 3-11 year olds? I hate Spongebob after all. So i pop t in, and my son and i sit down to watch. Next thing you know he's sleeping and the first disc is done. I put in the second disc...the next season... There are dishes to be done, the cat to feed, babies in some strange country I'll never go to starving... and i'm watching Zim. I love Gir. he's so cute and he acts just ike my 4 year old! It's as if the creator, writer, and director capture the essence of the simple, innocent, and inquiring mind (not to forget stubborn, lying etc...) of my kid! So anyways, this thread isn't about Zim. or how incredibly awesome it is, but how a stupid cartoon caught me off gaurd years after it was pulled off the air. Has that ever happened to anyone else?? or am i just fucking crazy... I know. it's the latter. I can live with that.
