"Big Balls" is beating Bioshock on hard mode (which i managed) but turning the vita-chambers off, an option the new DLC brought. it strikes me as batshit insane, as the first big daddy mustve killed me like a dozen times. it can be done, but very fucking carefully and youd have to save the game in almost every room, as hard mode (granted, i wasnt buying health as much as i shouldve) saw me walking into rooms, especially in the big theatre level, and bam! tagged by 2 of those hanging splicers and im dead.

You almost gave me a heart attack Irish. I just finished fort frolic, haven't used a vita-chamber, then I read this post about "turning them off." WTF!? I had just been reloading when I die!! After a frantic search on 2k games forums, I found out that you don't have to turn them off, just load if you die and you SHOULD get it. Unfortunatly I now have a nagging down seated in the root of my brain. I fear I won't be able to focus on anything else till I finish and get the damn thing.

Picked up Strikers this morning and I have to say I'm having fun with it!! At first the single player seemed WAY TOO easy, and I was winning matches 15-2. By the final match of the Fire Cup championships however, I was sweating over a score tied at 3 in sudden death. I eaked out at goal at the last second to win the cup and actually yelled out "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAL!!!" I had really gotten into it! It has great multiplayer potential, and just might oust Mario Party 8 at my next gaming night!

Who's caught up on this? I know the next three were in the can before the axe came down, but #7 & 8 felt like they really lost the energy & feel of the first six. Hell, if Wildstorm had published #7 it woulda been a declaration of war.

Remember, Ennis has said on multiple occasions that this is planned to be a 60+ issue series. So #7 was a little slow. A long series has to have down periods so you can catch your breath. I'm sure #8 (can't wait to get my hands on it tommorrow!) will ramp up the insanity again.

I hear you guys. The Wii just has SO much potential and the sales numbers to potentially pull off a coup, but I think its floundering a bit. Galaxy, Corruption and Brawl all look fantastic, but I don't see much on the horizon. Strikers was completely under my radar (never played the first one), but I'm seriously thinking about picking it up tommorrow just on the strength of some of the reviews I've read.
