Got the first two issues of The Ultimates, looks good. The first issue was a bit of a fast read but the war scenes were great. #2 kicked ass, loadsa shit happening, coming together well. Can't wait to see Thor in it, just from what I read before the series came out, something like 'He may be the direct descendent of a thunder-god or just a lunatic with a big hammer!', and they've got Tony Stark as an alco too! Gonna keep that one up!

Again with the timed mine bashing!! It's not really that bad, just use your first go to map it a bit, scope out the dead ends that are as far as I remember all chest rooms, then use the map to get the quickest route thru. Remember you don't gotta kill everything in there, run past a few fights! The Chest Key can be got shortly, when you get thru the timed mine, SAVE, there's about the toughest boss so far in the next room! I'm not gonna spoil it for you but when you beat that boss you get the Tearose Sigil, that gets you access to further down into the Iron Maiden B1. Go there, get by a couple of bosses (naturally!) and you'll get that key. It's worth the extra fighting, tho not essential, the Chest Key chests have some decent kit! By the way, when you use Analyse, you get ALL the enemies stats, not just those immediately seen in Status, press square to see their affinity and type weaknesses, ideal for choosing weapon types! Story keeps getting better Nick, tho I'm not sure whether voice-overs would have suited it.Very few games have good voiceovers, you just know Ashley Riot would end up talking like some punk kid like Ash from Pokemon! Noooooo!!! :0 Anyway, lemme know if you need any help, I can give you spoiler-free hints, you might see some on a walkthru.

I'm back now, I was in Manchester Stimp. System were fantastic, if I can write a review I will do. Unfortunately they didn't play Shimmy, that's one of my favourites too, it and Forest were the only songs from Toxicity they didn't play. Anyway I'm off to catch up on sleep!

Tough one to call, Jet has the youth, speed, power, Jackie has the defence, endurance and intelligence. Venue wasn't discussed but I'd say Jackie would just take it, if the fight is in a room with loads of makeshift weapons!!

Hey I got nothing against superheroes really, I was just kidding around, I'm buying more superhero books now than other stuff I think. Still prefer anti-heroes though!! Superheroes just piss me off at times, a bit too jingoistic in places: JLA - correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that Justice League of America? Superman - Truth, justice and the American way? Shouldn't they be working for all mankind? ???

Don't read all his stuff but I went for Bendis, partly cos I just read a collected version of Jinx, damn good book! Powers is constantly good, I mean even the 'Hello!' magazine parody issue and Alias was one of my most anticipated books when I'd be going to the shop (which I only get to do about once a month, it's an hour of a bus trip away! ???) of last year.

On Glenn Fabry's site it says he's going to be doing interior art for an Ennis written Authority. There was an Authority indefinitely pulled due to Sept 11 sensibilities but I think that was Azarello/Dillon.
