  1. DA JUDGE nods in approval, i agree! :approve:
  2. My favourite soundtrack has to be Clockwork Orange by Walter Carlos (apparently now Wendy Carlos!?! ). Hey Soldier Of Fortune, is Oceans 11 worth getting? I have other David Holmes stuff, is it similar? Oh, nearly forgot Air's 'Virgin Suicides' OST is very good too, although the film was mediocre it has to be said!
  3. Mani, formerly of The Stone Roses and now Primal Scream. On the voting front, i can't make up my mind between Jack Bruce and John Entwhistle! ???
  4. Aziz Ibrahim is one i would have voted for and no Tim Buckley!?!
  5. What? They haven't got round to making Preacher's 'Fuck Communism' zippo lighter yet? Bah!
  6. I am defo gonna get it soon. Also (i can't believe i've never asked this! ) Does anyone know of any comic series that are in any way similar to Preacher? Ever since it finished there has been a Preacher shaped gap in my life!
  7. zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......* huh? Nah it's all right, just let me doze here, i'll be cool in a minute or s...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  8. Thanx IC! I was just this morning looking at it today in the comic shop.I tell U what, that is some size of book for only £14.99! Alas, unfortunately i am skint!!! Anyhows i'll be sure to get it when i have some money, Cheers again IC! :approve:
  9. I tell a lie, it called 'The Watchmen'. I think i was getting mixed up with someones suggestion for the name of this here posting section! Anyway, what's the dat?
  10. More and more people i come into contact with are banging on about a series called The Watchtower (if i remember rightly). Is it really all dat? Is It available as Graphic Novels? whats the story, etc etc, etc. All info required, cheers! :approve:
  11. The hidden 'track' on Super Furry Animals 'Guerilla' Album is apparently called 'Citizens Band' and lasts all of 5 seconds: Drum intro, Sings "That's right don't go chewin' gum"...ends! There's also a good instrumental hidden on Beck's 'Midnite Vultures' (I have a Jap CD version, i'm not sure if it's just on this, MLB?) Also on Beck, anyone got the CD of 'Mellow Gold' with hidden track, apparently some were issued with it and some without when it was released! I have neither 'cause i got the vinyl, anyway what's it like anyone?
  12. At the mo, mine would be Beck's 'Nobody's Fault But My Own', cause i'm on a downer, aww! It's usually one of my faves anyway, just seems more poigniant (is that how it's spelled?) tonight 4 some reason! LOL, Tomorrow it might be 'I Am The Ressurection' by The Stone Roses!?! :wary:
  13. Now if you were talking about best Zep record cover, Houses Of The Holy would win hands down, i 'memeber that gatefold, glowing muther comin alive! (why have Led Zep always been part of my chemical history?)
  14. I voted for 'Monkey gone to heaven', as it's the first song i'd heard by The Pixies without actually knowing who the fuck they were as a kid! I remember the video popping up on programmes like The Chart Show and No Limits as opposed to cheesier shit like TOTP'S. To be honest i've not got a lot of The Pixies tunes, just a few scattered over the course of a few tapes, however when i think of 'Monkey...' it reminds of yesteryear, total nostalgic headprint, if that makes any sense!?! Fuck i'm tired...
  15. For me the 80's was all about the end of the decade! Stakker Humanoid, Bomb The Bass, The Stone Roses, The Beastie Boys...um, Neneh Cherry. damn, another list to compile!?! Let me get back to U in a couple of days!
  16. Yo, The Bjork LP, that i always kinda liked was her first one, 'Debut' i think it was cheekily called! Not sure of the track listing as i only have a tape of it, you should be able to find it on the net no problem. Yes i totally agree with you, Beck is amazing live, especially the Midnite vultures material, phew! Seen him three times touring that stuff at Clyde Auditorium, Reading & Tin the park and each time it just got better! The song to hear live has to be 'Deborah', blew me fuckin away at Reading that did (the grass may have helped) ;) . As the album itself goes, 'We Live Again' & 'Nobody's Fault But My Own' are my faves and yes, it is a very underated album, it was getting called Becks 'white album' up here for a while! Also have to say, after seeing him live, i think he is the best performer/live act/gig that i have ever seen or been to, as close to a living legend as i'll see!?! (Air & The Beta Band came close, but not quite).
  17. Fuck! See what i mean? now we have 3 very different lists, keep 'em coming!
  18. Had to vote 4 'Whole lotta Love' as it was the first Led Zep song i heard (and i was under the influence of chemicals at the time!), still gives me an acidic shudder when i play it!
  19. Mine's is Embryonic Crusadah !?!
  20. Jesse Custer!!! In comparison, how different are they two lists? This clearly illustrates what i love about music, everyone has thier own totally unique tastes! Not a bad list too, good to see The Pixies, the Eels & The Hives getting a mention. Come on forum peeps, anymore 4 anymore?
  21. Cheers MLB! I know what your saying about the order of The Beck Albums, just that recently i've been playing 'Mutations' & 'Midnite Vultures' to death! I had to choose a way of compiling this list and the way i done it was by what i have been listening to recently, otherwise it would have been harder to complete as, say, albums of originality, innovation, etc. If that had been the case, a similar list i drew up about six months ago, had 'Odelay' as Beck's best LP at number 2!
  22. Ok, we've been talking about 90's music in the other thread and compiling lists of favourite song & albums, i don't know about you but there were 1 or 2 i wanted to include only to find that they were released in 2000. So i want you all to recommend the music from the start of the millenium that's been getting pumped out of your stereo!!! to start us of: Top 15 Albums (in preference at time of posting): 01:BADLY DRAWN BOY-HOUR OF BEWILDERBEAST(2000) 02:DJ SHADOW & CUT CHEMIST-BRAINFREEZE(2000) 03:SUPER FURRY ANIMALS-RINGS AROUND THE WORLD(2001) 04:AIR-10, 000 HZ LEGEND(2001) 05:THE BETA BAND-HOTSHOTS 2(2001) 06:RADIOHEAD-KID A(2000) 07:IAN BROWN-MUSIC FROM THE SPHERES(2001) 08:THE AVALANCHES-SINCE I LEFT YOU(2000) 09:DAFT PUNK-DISCOVERY(2001) 10:ROYKSOPP-MELODY AM(2001) 11:ADD N TO (X)-ADD INSULT TO INJURY(2000) 12:DAVID HOLMES-BOW DOWN TO THE EXIT SIGN(2000) 13:THE STROKES-IS THIS IT(2001) 14:THE MICRONAUTS-BLEEP TO BLEEP(2000) 15:MORCHEEBA-FRAGMENTS OF FREEDOM(2000)
