  1. It looks like a mod for FFXV. Not saying thats a bad thing, i loved that game but you can tell that's what they seem to be basing the game on. Honestly if it cleans up the story and is fun ill dig it. Just not sure how hardcore 7 fans will feel about it.

Considering Moore wrote that book like there wasn't going to be a country left at the end, I'm bloody fascinated at what a post-event America looks like with it's no term limits and weird relationship with fiction. Do we know how modern though? Because there's thirty years between Issue 12 and now.

Yeah, they are keeping this pretty hush hush. I guess we're gonna have to turn in to check it out.

Please never go to Hobby Lobby.

Yeah i realized my mistake way after I hit post and never went back to edit it. Michaels, Joannes and I know here in Austin  our large art supply stores all do custom framing jobs.

  4. Absolutely. It's pretty much hung on my wall damn near my whole life. I put it away and into storage to stop it from getting any more damaged until I could frame it. It's basically the cover of the first comic with a "may 1991" kinda tag on it.

you're not wrong! no idea where to get one that size

so it'll be pricy but worth it, you can go to like a hobby lobby or michaels or wherever and get custom frames. I've been considering it for my Infinity Gauntlet promo poster from '91 because it's a strange size.

  6. So, Pet Semetary. I'm going to try and give my review without sounding like a pretentious film snob:

    - It is a solid, mainstream "for everyone" horror film. It subverts expectations if you've seen or read the OG stuff.
    - it made a couple key changes that were a little...of the time which was good. (ie: indians are spoooopy)
    - But i can't help but feel if you took the EXACT same cast, recorded in the EXACT same place, but gave it to a more indy horror director, it would have been fantastic.

    - Yeah its big on jump scares, and its formulaic. the ending was cute since it did differ from the source material but i don't think you need to rush out to see it.

Edit: You should follow the church cats on instagram because they are adorable.

  7. So for those of you new to Bindy's world, for a long time I spent a lot of time in the world of darkness. From about 16-30ish I played in and later ran VtM LARPS.  (Apparently larping is the one thing that even nerds will make fun of, but fuck you). I am a huge dork for the world of darkness.

..I hated their last iteration of the world and refused to play it.

About 5ish years ago, I was covering a con in H-town, and I ended up getting wrecked with this random Swedish dude who was there for the Battlestar Galactica part of the con. He was also a hardcore VtM fan that was at the time, trying to work on the MMO version of VtM that never came to light. (CCP cancelled it). Fast forward to today. My Swedish friend ends up becoming one of head storytellers/writers for the new world of darkness and he's making the game *I* would want to play again.

I was talking with him last night and he was, of course wrecked (because GDC parties are crazy man, the one time I went it was...a lot). He was so over the moon that this project is finally seeing the light of day. He only had a minor hand in it (lore) but the FIRST iteration of bloodlines 2 they'd hoped to launch alongside 5th ed (which is out) but technical problems held them back and that's why it got pushed back some. This project is being done with LOVE and care. Like...the kind that CD Projekt has with cyberpunk. I could not be more excited. Even with all its technical problems, I adore the first Bloodlines.

For those of you curious about the world of darkness, there's a documentary on Amazon about it you can check out now. (my boy even makes an appearance in it).

For those of you who want to know more about bloodlines, and maybe don't want to download +mod the game (because, you really need to to get it working right). I recommend this video. It's about 30 minutes, but it's totally worth your time.

not gonna lie though, if were gonna go back to the old status quo again one day i want more baseball games at the mansion, those were some of my favorite one issue stories

We did that...in the same issue we printed anti-Semitic stuff about Kitty Pride. It was a great issue for everyone.

so, age of x-man is likely to be a mixed bag, my 90s love of AOA/x-man means ill read at least the core book

but holy hell, just caught up on uncanny # 11 & 12 and this is rje best the book has been in like a solid decade - the weight of even the lesser stories is being felt, and the looming threat of days of future past isn't looming anymore. really hope they can keep this going, scott alone hasn't been this interesting since...whedon?

Update: Just read Uncanny 11 and 12 over lunch. God damn.
