and they're all rescue dogs!

It was pretty good. I wish they wouldn't CGI the head shots but that's really my only complaint.

lol, mike looks like a vampire wolverine in that picture. also, that woman in the pic looks like she could kick some ass herself.

The Other Guys.
Awesome. Just awesome.
yes!!!!! it was so much better than i expected.
-
ok, the first episode was good.
-
i'm not as enthusiastic about the show anymore...the last 2 seasons just haven't done it for me. i'll still watch but i feel like it's lost it's center.
-
you know, i just remembered that someone had suggested the actress that plays tara be cast as michonne in the walking dead and at the time i didn't know who she was but now that i've watched the show, i feel comfortable giving an emphatic "fuck no!" to that suggestion.
-
man, according to my great grandmother, the 20s were definitely something. normally i'm not that interested in gangster shit but my family was slightly involved in the business at this time so i'm interested in watching.
-
super stupid last 3 minutes of the finale. the season was pretty good though. and yes, a culling of the uninteresting characters herd is desperately needed.
-
yeah, i just finished yesterday and i'm halfway through season 2 (much better than s1, like you guys said). and i have to say, you're totally right that the least interesting thing about the show is
sookie and bill. i've actually been catching myself having to go back because when they're together alone, i tend to stop paying attention and start thinking about chores i have to do or what not.
but jesus christ am i happy that they don't make sookie into a helpless fucking woman with no sense of self-preservation. i fucking HATE when shows/movies do that (human centipede, i'm looking at you)!
-
i am a horrible judge of character.
-
at least find solace in the crash and burn of the plans to remake oldboy. i do. it proves that some things are right in the world.
-
what the what?
-
that flowchart is sadly accurate.
-
highly forgettable. for an action movie, it didn't even really have much action. i was kind of bored watching it. and i still have no idea what it was about other than being a vehicle to bring back most of the 80s/90s action stars and try to work them into some sort of "plot." i felt like they created the action sequences and worked backwards from there to write the script. ugh!
-
case 39 was awful.

great doc about midwifery and the medicalization of birth in the US (and subsequent dramatic decline in midwifery and home births in the US). i recommend it to anyone who wants to have a child in the future so you can weigh your options for delivery.
-
good luck with that. just don't let kertins watch it. seriously.
seriously, seriously.
What was the last film you saw?
in Mystery Hondo's Theater 3000

it's just so...sad.
you're all on-board with the direction the movie is going and then you slowly start to realize what's going on and then the rest is just so sad. i don't think i've ever felt so much like a voyeur watching any other doc before. and i get why a lot of critics are kind of trashing nev's brother and friend for pushing nev to pursue this for the sake of furthering the story, though it really wouldn't have been that engaging unless they did that. but still, it's real life and these are real people so it makes it feel so exploitative of the people involved.
