  1. Just finished the season.  That was all net bar Crocodile,  for me.

If they decided that this would be the last season, then Black Museum would be the perfect send off. That was great.

I concur.  Although more would be nice. [/s]

  2. Except still within the original era and no Versace Fury or edgelord Magneto*.

*Though Magneto has never been more badarse than talking about using humans for a mutant larder and having the Mutant Commandments tattooed on his back though. Also one of my favourite lines from a comic: "Humanity didn't die tonight, just Americans.

  3. Dillashaw and Johnson at Catchweight would be the move because I'm no nutritionist(I just know where the tasty burgers at) but I don't know that TJ could drop 10 pounds and still be as effective as he'd need to be against Mighty Mouse.

You're right in that Connor should absolutely shit or get off the pot. He's been given way too much leeway because he generates a tonne of revenue and of course let's not forget what a boner septics have for the Irish. I say give him 3 months(or a month+training camp) to figure out his next move and act accordingly.

It's not like if he vacates he won't go straight to the top of the queue for whatever belt he desires anyway.

  4. oh any response is better than me yukking it up in my own ill-informed echo chamber.  If you do nothing else with your hondos time,  please do check in here occasionally to make sure I haven't started a podcast with a paper mache doll's head that looks suspiciously like Joe Rogan. [i/]

I honestly figured GSP just had the one fight in him anyway.  I mean he vacated the title four years ago and came back over weight just to prove a point,  so if we don't see him again for a year and it's a catchweight with say,  McGregor or Woodley I won't be mad.

In terms of superstars, mighty mouse is great value at flyweight but he has noone to fight. Stipe Ngannou is going to be nuts.  One of the first fights I saw was Stipe taking the heavyweight title from Verdum with a knockout,  while running backward from him.

Did you watch 219? I'm keen to see Holm fed to the woodchipper that is Cris Cyborg,  and have already had it spoiled that Khabib(KHALABIB!) rattled the baby shit out of Barboza.

  5. Image may contain: 3 people

I blame being a little stoned and over-stimulated by the Marvel hologram covers for the impulse purchase of the variant, but the time is right and I reckon this is the perfect book to introduce the kid to comics.

The plan was then to bag & board the variants for Til later and let her read/beat up the regular cover, but the Mastermind variant for issue two is a little creepy so she's gonna get the regular covers instead(still bagging that window box edition though).

  6. I'd be more excited if Peter David was involved.

This could still be bloody fantastic though since Franco has demonstrated a fair bit of range(assuming they do something like the Madrox solo run/the Noir X-Factor book rather than just the bloke who can make more of himself like in X-men 3).

  7. If I was creating a game it'd be sandbox with upgradeable everything like GTA San Andreas, but I voted fighter because something I've always wanted to see was a fighter with personal politics

By which I mean stat boosts or deficits based on either story-history or in-game results. I spose the Nemesis system Shadow of Mordor and the new Xcom 2 expansion use would suit the purpose just fine.

  8. Acch so keen to get a streaming service or even the ability to read files off of Micro SD, for this thing.

That being said I know JP is mostly about portable wifi, are you yanks on that yet or would this be an exercise in skipping between hotspots or using phone data? That's how it is here and data isn't cheap enough to just stream at will(yet).

  9. So did anyone here watch 217 on the weekend?  Crazy-stacked card and some fantastic fights.  Very strike-heavy as well which always makes for a more broadly entertaining experience.  I haven't watched the prelims yet though.

I'll talk results under spoiler tags for anyone still planning to check it out as I know when I don't PPV it can take a few tense,  social media averse days to get to it.

Some well deserved wins and one serious upset.

Namajunas was such a good sport post fight I'm glad she won.  No-one seems to hang onto the ladies straw weight belt for long in my limited experience.

Dillashaw Garbrandt went as I expected, some outstanding striking on display there.

This was my first GSP fight and I had no idea what to expect. Funny thing,  my BJJ professor has trained with Bisping and cornered for him before so I haven't brought up the results in training,  but that rnc finish made my balls tingle a little it was so damned cool.

I hoped for more from Wonderboy Masvidal,  but they both showed heart and you can't fault that.

  10. Longtime fan of the show. I'm thoroughly confused by Spacey-stuff affecting production of season six because

    content spoilers

Frank Underwood is quite literally a supporting character now and could easily be killed off-screen via several convenient channels like his liver failing, another assassination, etc

Sidebar which doesn't warrant it's own post: Though I've always been sceptical of the moral fibre of anyone generating wealth in the entertainment industry, Spacey's implication in shady stuff really bums me out. My daughter's godfather knows people who know people and has told me for years that he and Singer had teams of twinks(his phrasing, he's allowed) coming through their hotel when they were filming Superman Returns way back when, but the word was that it was purely consensual so it wasn't something I paid attention to, though my man has always considered Spacey a POS so maybe he knew more than he said.

  11. Such a great film. Everything about it from fan service to soundtrack to performances, on point. The single gripe I had was that I felt like Korg was slightly overused.

Sure he's keeping things light but given the gravity of the Hela part of the story, they might have let the odd moment of doom land before Korg comes in all disarming and bringing the mood back to the default of irreverent comedy.

    More like this plz.

  12. I'm so glad to be at the point where there's more games than I have money for. Add to that, I've no shame pile(unfinished games) at current and now I can sink another 100+ hours into Skyrim guilt-free.

The portability has been the gamechanger for me. I moved my awesome TV into the lounge room and dissembled my personal space so my console time has been non-existent since the beginning of the year. I carry the switch with me everywhere even though for the first four months of ownership it was in a beanie because switch carry cases go from being dirt cheap and functional as hell to wildly expensive and esoteric. And guess which ones were near impossible to get for a while.

Additionally when the stars align and I get the TV to myself, it looks so damned pretty. I don't dig the pro controller because it's generic but love the joycons.
