Can't disagree more. I think DelToro clearly failed at just what you said in that scene. I thought it was funny that you had And wow REALLY on that last line? I was reminded so much of Mononoke's ending when I saw that scene I could barely get it out of my head. To be fair, DelToro's scene was animated better, CG and all, but it just felt lifeless.

I'll be getting in on whatever system will piss you off the most, your agony sustains me. Honestly I'll likely grab it for whichever one ends up being the best. No way to know which one that will be at this point in time. Likely the versions will be damn near identical and if it comes down to it I'll prolly grab the 360 one. I prefer the controller, achievements as of now are a bit cooler than trophies and um, I want to see Sony suffer SUFFER for what they did to Sega (never mind that Sega did so very much to themselves). I just love how you act as if you don't have a 360... as to a previous point: There really isn't much evidence of this, yes IU was excusive, but that because MS did the initial funding, SO4 (which looks AMAZING in the latest trailer) is made by Tri-Ace as well, so they likely have an easier time working with a system that they are already familiar with. Last Remnant smells less like a money hat and more like the 360 being a little more robust with the UE3 engine especially when the Japanese documentation of siad engine is notoriously bad. OTOH I'm sure that MS has been courting the HELL out of S-E and for good reason. They are the premier developer of JRPGs and that was one genre that the Xbox had NONE of last gen. They have done one hell of a turn around this gen in becoming the favored system for that genre, which is even MORE amazing considering how shitty it has done in Japan. Now if they could somehow get SMT their conquest of the genre would be complete. But I'm not even crazy enough to think that will happen.

Oh I admit it is some bit of sweet sweet revenge on the whole Sony killing Sega twice thing. But honestly I think this was a wise business move on Square's part. Getting to play the game is a nice bonus. Though I will likely have my own PS3 by the time this actually does come out. Vaan was not that bad, as far as main chracters in the post SNES days go, he's pretty damn ok actually. I mean hell at least he wasn't SQUALL.

FFVIII should have been about Laguna, then it wouldn't have sucked. XII was AMAZING though. Still Vaan was kinda useless as it wasn't really his story, it was just told through his eyes. I love the internets:

IMO it'll get released in Japan PS3 timed exclusive then when it comes out here it will come out there too. People also thought that DMC4 was going to be a Japan PS# exclusive also.

I was never impressed with Kingdom Hearts, at all really. I WANTED to like it but couldn't. Then there is the hell that was advent children. REALLY pretty, but otherwise quite shit. So I never much cared about VS13 one way or the other. I have heard good things about TWEWY, but have yet to play it, it might change my mind. Anyhow, I figure there will be a 6 month or so difference in the release of the Japanese and US version of 13, and the US version will be simultaneous, but the Japanese one won't. but for Sony fanboys:

Tetsuya Nomura's pretty much a hack IMO so I don't care as much. I just am AMAZED that M$ was able to pull this off it's fucking HUGE. I mean I don't imagine this will make a huge difference in Japan, but it could be MASSIVE here.

Good film, but not as good as the original IMO. Which is a shame because there is so much of the film that I really respect and like. Visually it's amazing, and Perlman does an incredible job as usual, the problem is that the script was just not that good. The villain needed some work, and the entire conclusion to the film was spelled out directly to the audience within the first 5 minutes. Did the ending surprise ANYONE? I thought the Abe Love Story was a bit undercooked, the motivation of the Elf Prince was as well, and the movie could have had a good 20 minutes of the second act lopped off without losing much (nothing really comes of the whole 'Outing' story.) Still the scene with the was AWESOME, the third act was much better than the first two overall, and no one can dis DelToro's eye for amazing production design. The story though, was kinda meh.

They REALLY need to cut it by 100, a $249 premium would be ace. I mean how is it the PS2 Xbox and GameCube were able to drop by lik $150 in three years, but the Xbox360 can't? Seriously.

They are all movies about women inevitable getting treated like shit/abused by asshole husbands/boyfriends and finding the strength to fight back, move one.

I remember linking the series, though far less so now once I realized that Watase has about one trick, turn the melodrama up to 100 about every 10 episodes or so. That and I think Miaka might be one of the most annoying main characters in Anime and Manga history. I realize that she is a 14 year old girl, the problem is she kinda acts like one, a RETARDED one, and it gets to me after a while. Not a horrible series, but I don't think it has aged very well.

Never did beat this game, I had borrowed it from a friend many moons ago, and had to give it back. Then when I treid it on an emulator I think I made it to the EXACT same place as last time, and stopped. I like it, a lot actually, but for some reason never make it much farther than the introduction of Jeff, so when I read that article I was like Pokey's a BAD GUY? Odd... So am I reading it right that this is a game that pulls a PS2 and kills your heroes at the end? Wouldn't have expected that.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is awesome distilled into a 9GB DVD. But anyway, bout damn time that the PS3 got that support. Question about the custom soundtracks, is that for every game, or only those that support it? I know on 360 nearly every title has custom soundtrack support unless MS gave them a specific pass (GTAIV). How's Sony doing it?

This game has tons of that "use a stragegy guide or you'll never EVER find it BS, that drives me batty in games. Still, at least the gameplay in the first couple of acts is fucking awesome, still waiting to see how I like acts 3-5 on a second playthrough.

Ah that's nothing, I beat octopus the first time with a stun knife and the tranq gun. If you can kill the shell with whatever then that shouldn't be an issue. What pisses me off about the statues is that had I KNOWN about them my first playthrough, I would have gotten them all. But when I tranqed laughing and didn't get shit, I assumed there was no reward for beating the first form with non-lethal. What a pain. Will go back soon, I just have to decide if I want to re-fight octopus and go back to try and get some of hte hiden mp3s you get at random from the militia. Gah I hate crap like that. I also hate the fucking hold-up mechanics, I can never get it to work to sake my life.

On rereading I see what IN means. On BB Extreme you can't purchase more ammo for the tranq guns right? I figure that could be a pain for the bosses. Is it?
